May require a trade to even it up depending on team selections.

Im running with:

B: McDonald, Shaw, Taylor, Hibberd, Newnes, Oxley
M: Fyfe, Pendles, Selwood, JPK, Saad, Glenn *, and if by some godly intervention Krak gets a game, i'll have him as well.
R: Goldy, NicNat
F: Gray, Buddy, Swan, Mitchell, Hogan, Clark *

Hoping to be fielding 20, but should be good for at least 18.

Before trades is:

B: Shaw, Johnson (*inj), Oxley, Saad, McKenzie
M: Fyfe, Pendlebury, kennedy, Parker, Kelly, Krakouer, Amon
R: Goldstein, Sinclair
F: Gray, Swan, Mitchell, McGovern, Salem, Clark

So looking at trading out MJ and CEY, swinging McGov back and bringing in Spuddy and J. Kelly.

After trades will most likely be: *pending selections etc
B: Shaw, McGovern, Oxley, Saad, McKenzie
M: Fyfe, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Parker, Kelly, Krakouer, Amon
R: Goldstein, Sinclair
F: Gray, Swan, Franklin, Mitchell, Salem, Clark

Not holding much hope for Clark getting up and will see what I feel like doing with Krak depending on which rookies are named. Salem on track for return this week.

Theoretically these trades just let me roll through the byes nicely doing my normal upgrades in the process.

Am I smart or stupid by going krak/Mckenzie to > Boston/ b.smith this week giving me 19/19/18 and also leaving only saad and rich as the only 2 left to trade out
Brodie Smith has a B/E of 118 FWIW and doesn't play this week anyway.

SC Gold projects a score of 54 for a 28,200k price drop. I don't think he'll score that badly, but even an 80 will see him drop 15k or so.

Agreed with Jiska may as well hold on Smith, you have a week luxury so may as well use it, guy hasn;t had the best run this year, could get knocked out at training and miss a few again.

Praying to hell Steele gets named this week.
Me too. I've had him for few weeks as an m/f link. On the cusp named as emergency 2 weeks in a row.
Expect him to start as sub if named in 22.

I've found that typing out your team over the 3 rounds actually puts things into perspective a little, give it a try :)

Im not as bad as I thought in R12 , looking ok for R13 but am a little concerned for R11.

Number Available/Did not play round 10

Round 11 :
16/3

DEF: TMac, Shaw, Oxley, Newnes
MID: Fyfe, Hanners, Pendles, Griffen, Saad, McKenzie
RUC: Goldstein, NicNat, Downie lol
FWD: Gray, Swan, Goddard, Franklin, Mitchell, Clark

Round 12:
15/4

DEF: TMac, Shaw, Gibson, Hamling, KMac, Lever
MID: Danger, Griffen, Lewis, Cripps, CEY, Anderson
RUC: Goldstein, NicNat , Downie
FWD: Dusty, Gray, Clark, Dale

Round 13:
19/2

DEF: Gibson, Oxley, Newnes, KMac, Lever
MID: Fyfe, Danger, Hanners, Pendles, Cripps, Lewis, CEY, Saad, McKenzie, Anderson
RUC: -
FWD: Martin, Swan, Goddard, Franklin, Mitchell, Dale

EDIT: I miscalculated Goddard and had him as a Round 13 bye, after recalibrating it looks like Round 12 is pooish after all!

You'll only have 16 rd 12 Goddard out as the guy above said ^^^^

i tried typing out my team and it just reinforced the fact that im completely rooted in all 3 rounds.

round 11 i have too many mids, round 13 too many defenders and round 12 not enough of anything. :rainbow:

My strategy for byes is pretty simple but relies heavily on players costs not fluctuating a s**t load.

Will have 18 players this weekend, if Glenn or Clark play that will be extra - No trades

Next week will do 3 trades Oxley - Hamling, Dmac - Sloane, Clark - Bonts. Will give me another 18 on the field.

Final week will trade NicNat to Mummy which will give me 20 on the field.

I'm s**t-scared the bloke will get knocked out brushing his teeth the way he's going.

At least you know you are rooted now, and not during the bye rounds :D

How many players do you have for each round?
true. as a result i think im going to focus on trading for the long term instead of trying work my way through the byes

here is my side so far...i can get through rd 11 but im relying on a lot of spuds. i'd like to get Pearce and Wines in as well as get rid of Hogan if possible

Nicnat and Mummy share the same bye round.

What sort of score will be needed in this bye round to keep me in the top 50?

2000? I really have no idea.

I only have 13 premiums (about 1400 points) plus 7 rookies available (incl. Glenn, McKenzie, Krakouer, Clark). So I can't really expect more than 1700 from that group of players, may need to make some short term trades.

2000 would be on the higher end for any of the bye rounds.

Only 18 players will score, so if you average 100 from each player, plus your captain that only give you 1900. Thats what i'd be hoping for, 2000 would be a big score.

I think if you can av 2000 over the 3 rounds you'd be safe and maybe go up a few , average 1900 would be just above par I'd say
