Yeah sure !!

Carlton overlook Shane Morrison in favour of Epileptic Fitzner ???

You blokes are on drugs !!!

Looking at the draft list again, I think Geelong, Sydney and Adelaide did particularly well.

Although, I think it's unlikely that Trotter will last to 29 on Saturday, meaning Sydney will need to make a decision whether take the local boy with their first pick like they did last year, or address their immediate concerns by taking a key positional player and miss out on Trotter.

Adelaide did well to snare Morrison at 14 and Hall at 31, but I also can't see Hall lasting until 31 on Saturday.

And year of the roo was sneaky in selecting Shane Morrison when he knew he wasn't nominating for the national draft...

From Freo's point of view, other than Surjan not slipping to 19, I'm fairly happy with Ray, McLean, Moody and Spencer.

Notable omissions include Luke Herrington (Dandenong), Paul Duffield (South Fremantle), Brett Jones (Claremont), Dean Chester (North Ballarat), Leigh Ryswyk (Southport - Qld), Alistair Neville (Oakleigh), Brent Bususto (South Fremantle), Craig Jovanovic (South Fremantle) Matthew Priddis (Subiaco), Adam Hartlett (Wester Adelaide) and Josh Krueger (Glenelg).

Having said that, I think the most interesting outcome from Saturday will be to see where Callum Burges is taken, which could be anywhere from six to twenty.

I think Jason Whitehead was the most notable ommission imo. I would have taken him with one of the late picks had we been in short supply of talls.

I was surprised Joel Campbell slipped to 62. I had a Sturt midfielder Michael Sumner ready for that pick but couldn't pass up on Campbell.

I feel that you are being extremely kind to include Brent Bosustow as a notable omission and I think that you will find Duffield on the Fremantle list after Saturday.

North would pick Harvey before Morrison. Harvey is training with us now and wants to play with his brother. There was another player who wanted to play with his bro at North recently...although his name has escaped me.;)

This phantom draft is miles off the mark.

Dyson will not be going to Essendon with pick 6 or 13, and will be a late 1st/early second round pick. McLean will go to Melbourne at pick 5. Walker will be 2 and Sylvia 3. Farren Ray 4. Bradley/Tenace to essendon with 6. Beau Waters will go first round most likely before pick 13 and David Trotter will not get past first round. Stanton could be a smoky and go late first but definitley in the top 30. Brent Hall to Adelaide at 14.

The most intriguing selections will be the WCE and Fremantle at 10, 11 and 12. They will need to decide between going for home-grown talent (Surjan, Spencer, Moody, Burges) or whether they go for the Victorian boys. If they go for the local boys we could see guys like Chaplin, Waters, Trotter, Morrison, Dyson etc all fall through to late first round picks.

Will be interesting to compare our draft to Matt Burgans (comes out on Thursday) and see who compares better come the weekend.
Here's the comparison for the one we did in 2001, if its of interest.

Amusingly the Bigfooty one probably did best at picking the good ones earlier.

I wouldn't be calling me a moron. You after all, were one of the recruiters who had us getting Dyson and Surjan in the Top 13. Not a chance in hell. The Top 5 is etched in stone (see "The Offical Top 5" thread). But you and many other ignorant things have failed to take note of this order. I have given it to you all on a platter.

You should be concerned Marcuz if you think the Oggmonster is a moron, he plays a key role in the draft and recruiting at your club. He was actually responsible for the dons taking big bad bustling Courtney Johns ( i read his report at the time) still think he is a moron.

Thanks for the info Oggy.

Wrong again..i didnt get on bigfooty untill our third pick so i had no say with the top 2. Although i would have picked dyson with 13 as i have seen him play many times and rate him very highly.

Dyson with his pace and ability to use the footy is exactly what we need. Tenace falling to 6 would be nice but it aint going to happen.
