Would all but end the finals dream. Then a loss to Melbourne would nail it shut.

Would that be enough to get us to actually think about development?
Its crazy looking at that ladder at the moment..

we are one win away from the top 5 and just 2 losses away from the bottom 5!.. if other games went against us.

we could still very easily end up finishing in the bottom 5.. especially with a loss this weekend (possible), a loss next weekend (probable) and a loss the weekend after that (probable).

after our flogging at AO last year at the hands of GWS we fell in a heap..

history could very easily repeat itself and we end up finishing bottom 5 again.

surely a bottom 5 finish again has to see Nicks gone as well as others..

be good for our draft pick though!

Yeah reid would give up pick 6 for redman and then essendon use that pick on a mid. Classic crows.

What sort of message does this send to our SANFL guys. Schoenberg busts his gut for weeks and finally gets a call up, plays quite well with limited time and is then shunted back to the SANFL while Murphy and Sholl keep their spots after spudding it up for weeks.

Guys like Nankervis, Cook, Borlase and Schoenberg may as well just have the next few months off, no chance of getting a game this year.

Guys like Nankervis need a taste to fire them up and to have an enormous preseason give ‘em a carrot

Crows could be in 6th if all goes to plan this weekend. Hopefully the Lions get up as well

Nicks is wedded to his best 23-24. He is incapable of moving away from it. A pretty piss poor effort from him that he has no trust whatsoever in any player outside of that group.

Borlase or keane (last week)
nank
newchurch
dowling
bond

pick a couple. give them a run.

Could also pick from guys who already have played an afl game..

cook
berry
shoey
- who had more impact in 1 fxxkn quarter as a sub than murphy had all fxxkn game!!

they literally couldnt be any worse than what sholl, mchenry and murphy are providing currently..

and if it turns out they are just as bad then so fxxkn be it.. piss them off.. remove them from the list as soon as you can.

but at the very least lets try them ffs.. there is nothing to lose at this point.

why continue picking garbage players simply cause you think our players that might/could be better “just aren't ready yet”?..
Do you think that there is a chance that the coaches already know that they are not any better now and maybe they will never be?
So there is no use putting them in now and making our losses greater?
Or do you actually believe that the coaches never try them against each other, during practise sessions?
Or are you one of those that actually believes that some players play better against better opposition that s**t players like Sholl, Mchenry or Murphy?

Then there's a massive disconnect between the coaches and list management who have signed all these blokes up.

Glad we kept the front runner Murphy in so he can get 15 touches and a goal to cement his place in the team. Then we can all act surprised when he completely disappears the following week at the MCG.

Nicks is simply a coach afraid of his own shadow and he is scared to make changes. Its all about immediate wins. To bad historically that strategy is 100% destined to fail long term and teams who do this end up like Carlton.

So… in your opinion..

How long do we continue with sholl, mchenry and murphy dishing up one good game in every 5-7 games that they play?..

They’ve been doing this for 5 years now..

Do we give them another 5 years of doing it?.. then give someone else a run if they dont change?..

Who knows.. maybe the club is right and they will all of a sudden become consistently great players that play 20 great games a season instead of 3 or 4..

Just wondering how long you are comfortable to persist with these lads for…

The coaches didn't pick Worrell until Doedee's injury forced them to

If left to their own devices they wouldn't have

The coaches would have left Dawson down back all season if it were up to them. Now he's pushing AA as a mid

They make errors, they have blindspots

What does Soligo read into these changes. He’ll be watching Murphy and Sholl run out there after their pathetic efforts.

Pretty clear Soligo is being managed. Has played every game as a second year - the other two are 4-6 years in.

So I think Soligo would be fine - some others though (Schoenberg, Berry and Nank) might be feeling a bit hard done by

It's a big call but possible. Worell was taking for best 22 pre season but got injured. Blue spot yes, but big the moves you murky they actually did.

It has been a Crows philosophy for years that the only real way to break into our team is during the pre-season.

Beyond that it's virtually impossible to convince the coaches you deserve a spot. The best 22 established before round 1 is the best 22 all season, no matter what

Hasn’t that already been dispelled?

Someone posted earlier there are 5-6 changes from our round 1 team to our current team

Himmelberg
Schoey
Berry
Brown
Doedee (injury)

Macadam just back in

So two clear mistakes in selection, 2 from disappointing form and 2 from injury have changed for most of the season
