Surely you're taking the piss? I doesn't matter how smart someone is, if they're either a right wing or left wing idealist then they will make decisions based on their ideology rather than using rigorous and rational diligence.

Abbott, Hockey and Pyne are right wing idealists. That's why they came out with the stupid budget, stupid maternity program, and stupid education policy. Let's not forget Abbott wanted to bring back the surplus, cut the s**t out of everything, and then promised money to people for marriage counselling. Not only right wing ideals but also Catholic ideals.

Pyne is a disgrace. There's nothing at all to like about him.

I just felt like saying something nice about someone in the LNP for once.

Chris Pyne is a smart man who is much better at thinking on his feet than anyone he works with.

He seems like he accurately represents the ideals, morals and opinions of the people he was voted in by, he is doing his job.

I think he enjoys all the stupid politics of being an elected rep, and the arguing, tit for tat idiocy of it all, but he isn't a malevolent, violent, dickhead like Tony Abbott or a fat useful "wealthy ethnic" idiot like Joe Hockey.

Also Chris Pyne has four kids, and I'm pretty sure all of them are disabled/special needs. Not saying that excuses anything or is even overly relevant, but he doesn't strike me as a bad bloke - just a bloke doing a really bad job for a really evil political party. Like one of the better Nazi's. A Rommel perhaps.

Hate to break it to you, but you're left wing ideals are simply not workable in society. That's the problem with people who use right or left wing ideologies to determine their decision making. Such people should never be taken seriously. Take Andrew Bolt for example. Every day he writes columns that basically say "everything LNP do is right, everything ALP do is wrong". There's no shortage of journalists who battle for each side. Such people can't be taken seriously.
