Stingray grounds Tiger: Astbury likely to miss round one

RICHMOND defender David Astbury looks likely to miss Thursday's AFL season opener against Carlton after he was stung in the left foot by a stingray.

Astbury was in a recovery session at a Port Phillip Bay beach on Wednesday when the barb did enough damage to require minor surgery.

Yeah, apparently it sidelined Grant for some time.
I wonder if it is a Victorian ray thing, maybe the colder water? Rays tend to get out of the way pretty quick, when I've encountered them up here (unless you're a croc hunter, chasing them).

Two Collingwood footballers face positive drug test

Two Collingwood footballers are understood to have tested positive to a performance enhancing drug.

The Magpie pair, Lachy Keeffe and Josh Thomas, are believed to have tested positive to the presence in samples collected earlier in the year.

If proven the player are facing a lengthy suspension and possible dismissal from the club.
