Not really a big deal, but there could have been a bit of drummed up controversy if Tippett was the one to walk off first.

McVeigh did this at the end of the Grand Final last year. He and Goodes were holding the cup ready to walk off the 'G one last time when one or two players started to do another lap of honour. McVeigh got angry and yelled at them to get back over to the playing group before they went down the race holding the cup aloft.
