The Klopp Files

Klopp has had no perceivable impact on Liverpool's ability to garner points in the EPL but is almost universally seen as having had an impact.

A classic example of Halo Effect at work.

If Rodgers is still in charge he doesn't win against Chelsea and City, coz he routinely loses in those fixtures

Klopp has taken over a squad expensively built by a manager who was blind when it came to spotting talent, he wasn't gonna do it over night, but he has definitely improved us in a lot of ways. Unfortunately a few players seem like they aren't gonna be fixed no matter what. It was always gonna take time, but I'd rather that time under a proven world class manager than a novice

Klopp is the Master Chief?

What was with the celebration this morning?
There wasn't any celebration. Just a man getting his team to thank the fans who didn't leave early like they did a month ago after he implored them to back the team for the full match. Just like he did week in week out with Dortmund in the Bundesliga. There is a distinct lack of connection between players and fans in the Premier League compared to other leagues, just look at Man City emptying the stadium on the weekend after Swansea scored the equaliser and half their fans missing out on the winner.

Anyone who thinks he's 'celebrating' a draw is delusional.

It's the same gesture players do after they've won a trophy or a match in general. It's a celebratory gesture.

He may or may not have improved Liverpool but there is no evidence of it in points gained. Exactly 1.5per game under Rodgers ( one slip away from being an EPL winning manager ) and exactly 1.5 under Klopp.

He may ( or may not ) improve points gained in future but he has not yet done so and thus the notion that he has improved Liverpool is unsupported by results and is probably based on who he is rather than what he has done in the admittedly limited time he ha spent there.

Klopp's Dortmund used to do it after every home game regardless of the result, apparently.

Maybe wadistance or Greendogg5 could shed some light.

In the league their records are identical, but they've included away wins at Chelsea and City which is something Rodgers was never able to do.

He's also topped a Europa League group that Liverpool were winless in when he took charge as well as advancing to the league cup semi finals with two victories over premier league sides (the previous manager needed penalties to beat a league two team).

I understand that, that doesn't change the fact it's a celebratory gesture. Not sure how Liverpool fans feel about it but if United started doing it I'd be embarrassed. It's almost like accepting a mediocre performance.

It's more about acknowledging the home support than gloating or saying "Yeah look at us, wooo!"

Klopp's a man of the people, and he always looks to give back to the supporters.

So you liked it?

Is that the first time he has done it with Pool? If so why take so long?

who are we to question klopp, look at his record?

Ok,

Just looked at his recent record, it isn't pretty viewing at all.

Rodgers Rounds 1 to 8: 12 points from 8 games.

Klopp Rounds 9 to 16: 12 points from 8 games.

Go figure.

Rafa: 2008-09: 86 pts

Rodgers: 2013-14: 84 pts

Go figure. ;)

if you keep staring at the table instead of football games it will obviously be difficult to see the impact he's had on the football LFC are playing. and if you are on the outside you will do your best to not understand, such as the gesture to the fans at the end of the game, that is quite obvious to anyone who follows football and knows who Liverpool FC are. a manager working on his rapport with the fans which we haven't had in a long time, working on creating a buzzing atmosphere in a place which has had soul sucked out of it.

What bollocks, Liverpool supporters have always been some of the most passionate supporters through the good and the bad.

It was one of the most awkward odd things I've seen after a draw. The players were as confused as anyone and Klopp just looked like a smiling idiot.

yes they "have always been".. are they now? where have you been man, the Anfield atmosphere has been a talking point for years now. i like how he was acting in the last 10 mins / whole game, to diffuse the potential booing at the final whistle, to remove any chance of that by riling them up to help us get an equaliser, things like that help the game end on a good note instead of the scousers being a bunch of sourpusses like we have been!!

A talking point where?

You'll Never Walk Alone still sung as loudly as ever.

you're very selective.
let me ask you a qu, would you prefer LVG or Klopp as United manager

How is that selective FAITH?

How far back do you want me to go to find a period where Klopp was successful?
Maybe you shouldn't be so selective.

Liverpool have a very intelligent manager but that doesn't mean any success will follow.

To say Klopp is better than Mou is you being very selective, seeing as Mou is more successful throughout Klopps managerial career.

I'd also take LvG as it currently stands as he has us sitting top four, an area that Liverpool aren't currently in.
