Mc Hutchison gone to Elmore

Grigg, Shaw, Fluffy, Licciardo, Langwell, Drewy and Mo have gone to Mount Pleasant.

Buttigeg and Gervasi to Doutta Stars

Barbuto to Keilor

Darby McMAhon- overseas won't play.

MaStropasqua, Thomas, robbie Ryan and Lockhart retired.

Dyson Stevens- VFL northern Blues

kouloritis to Marby Park

Realistically leaving- Brent Kelly, Jordan garita, Matt Pearce, and Joey Jamieson from last years Grand Final side

From those 4 only Jamieson and Kelly have committed to play, Pearce will be hampered by VFL/AFL duties.

I dont think the rest of Div 3 will have to worry about Parkside wiping the floor with most sides.
I work with pearcys cousin and he Definately won't be playin this year his to busy with AFL commitments and I HIGHLY doubt a player of his quality would ever play div 3

My eyes must be deceiving me looked like same blokes from Tuesday night trained last night,also I might need a abacus only counted 17 last night

Feel free to wander onto the deck and have a decent count! Had a list to grab some detail from all the boys who trained + I came home with 22 players info with a few leaving early.. did also have a group not train through injury. We will be right don't worry about that!

Does anyone on here have anything other than whinging to do about Parkside? Still wanna know whose playing praccy matches this weekend so we can get the forward scouts out?

Mate
And i suppose Heights are in a sustainable position are they i think parkside have the league in there back pocket. parkside should have been gone through every facet of the club by the league before the decision into div3 was made. on performance alone they should never been there and their coach sugar coating the situation does not cut it $$$ are not everything he says ask what budget has been allocated for players and look at the rest of the teams in that division especially the struggling ones so just letting everyone know the league has the cup engraved

Mate I'm not sugar coating anything! I can safely say our player budget is in line with the average div3 budget if not less...

Why is the D3 comp in place? Is it for ALL clubs that are struggling to develop for whatever reason? Or is it for clubs who perennially struggle to save their players from losing by big margins while they "develop"

It's a development league! For clubs that need DEVELOPMENT & REBUILD time....

Nath B, what do you do for a job as your on here more than all of us..
Are you sure your not doing more than coaching, like cleaning the rooms, preparing the meals, curating the ground, marking the lines, security of the facility..
Or are you standing on a corner with a sign over you sa

Surely not? If that is the case then that's disgraceful!

Having been through a change of league at an other club I can say, no club would be able to hold a league to ransom or leave... At least a 12mth process to change leagues!

Or are you standing on a street corner with a sign over you saying football players wanted call #########. Now that would be funny..

I respect the development and rebuild thinking and that was the reason it was set up for and everyone goes by the season just past or two so where does your club fit into the equation and i don't like when the system is undermined not by you Nath B your just the coach but by the club and the league and i beg you to differ what would have been your thoughts if you were a opposition coach which i am not just stating what has happened and you are defending them which i wouldn't expect anything else but is right or don't people clubs /leagues have morales /self respect anymore

Jesus Christ that was a long sentence.

With all due respect, as a person and coach if I were faced with the same situation I would be putting it on my boys to lift and take the challenge.. it's not ideal for either Parkside or other clubs but it's all in place and we need to just play the cards on the table!

I think you are completely off the mark here. It may be seen as a development league for Parkside (which is a bit laughable really because why develop when as a club you don't go all the way with it when the chance was there?) but I doubt that many other clubs are treating it like that.

I dont think that any of the clubs in DIV 3 think they are better than other clubs or BETTER THAN THE DIVISION. They just go about their business and do the best they can. If they are good enough to win it one day they will go up and do the same thing in Div 2. I guarantee you that no teams are sitting down and hatching elaborate 5 year plans on how they are going to climb through the ranks of the WRFL to one day become a powerful club in Division one.

I am sure that after their experience in Div one last time that nobody at North Sunshine is interested in going to Division One ever again. They don't see Division 3 as a development league it is just the league they play in where they do their best.

I think that you (along with many others at this level) have forgotten what it is really about.

I was once a coach in Division one. When I was coaching I fell for copying everything that I see in the AFL that you and many other coaches, players and mostly administrators at this level fall for.

WE MUST:
* Get more professional.
* Train Harder
* Rotate players on and off the bench
* Do recovery sessions
* Better have ICE BATHS
* Get medical professionals
* Raise More Money
* Pay players more
* Get more sponsors

Back then I bought right into it, followed the crowd and thought I knew it all. Now I realise I was just being a w***er (starts with W and ends in KER)

Local footy isn't about becoming more professional. There is already a professional league (AFL) and a semi professional league (VFL) if that's what you want to be involved in go to one of those.

Local leagues were once for (and should still be) people who want to have some fun, enjoy a sport they love, make friends and socialise with people in your local area........ I wish we could get back to that but I think it is too far gone.

Rant Over

I think this is wrong, I would hope that Sanctuary Lakes would be planning for the future.
