ANNOUNCEMENT:-
Due to many people across all three Dynasty leagues being unaware of, or improperly told what the OP position is. Specifically, that multiple QBs can be used in the OP slots. And, in the interests of tweaking any surfacing league structure problems. It has been decided that there will be a slight roster change that will affect everyone.
But for the common good, for the benefit of having a viable league without farcical situations, we ALL have to do the right thing and resolve it before the problem escalates in the near future.
The roster change is now this:-
Start: 1 Qb, 2 Rb, 2 Wr, 1 Te....1 Rb/Wr flex spot.....2 OP spots.
What this means is that the OP spot can be used on any offensive position---Qb, Wr, Te, or RB. There will just be 1 less one now in the interests of removing the ability to start 4 Qbs.
Those people who drafted QBs early to take advantage of the previous rule, we're not out to disadvantage you. Your QBs all still retain their value. And you dont have to keep them all or trade any of them. But everyone in their respective MK comp should endeavor to do the right thing for the common good. Not throw a tantrum or start low-balling people looking to trade one of their QBs.

That is crap.
There were three OP slots when i drafted, i expect my team to be able to use three QBs in those slots.
This is nothing more than petty cheating by people with a poor draft strategy.
I do not accept these changes one bit. You made a mistake, and created rules that had an effect you didnt anticipate, fine, but i refuse to be disadvantaged for reading that.![]()
I said it in the other thread, ill say it now.
Theres only one player different, so you have one qb who you cant play and im pretty sure you will be guaranteed a good trade for that and if not some recompense.

MK I is up to round 26 and we are affected more than you and MK III where you are now in the draft, and it was 'unanimously' decided to rectify something now rather than wait and rectify it next season. Ie, given how much stink it affected us we still were able to decide this for the 'common good' of the league.
The original rules were made on the basis that they would be looked at and tweaked next season. And that all three comps would follow the one set of rules. It was felt already there would be adustments next year, and complaints by people in MK II and MK III who were uniformed that OP spot even allowed multiple QBs....so better to adjust it now than wait a year where it would be HARDER to change.
It's a minor tweak. You'll still be able to play 3 QBs max using 2 OPs. And that "4th QB" still holds the same value---you can keep them for bye weeks, for hording, or trade them. It's ONE PLAYER, ONE change.
For the interests of 'getting it right' now it's appreciated to not put up a stink about it. And go on for days and days arguing, threatening to leave the comp, etc.
The perfect example is you, Southerntakeover. If next year WE in MK I, who set the rules for all, decided to change anything, like this, and acted on it, someone like you who say killed it in season 2008 with your 4 QBs, and THEN told to change, you would have refused, felt "why should i be docked, im killing it and now im 'punished' for it".
But if we do it now while you're only three-fifths of the way thru your draft, you can still address your draft needs with this change.
you have a roster of 40, can keep 34, 6 round rookie/FA draft, order is reverse of standings, not snake, so 10-1, 10-1 and so onThoughts on Elvis?
Also, can we keep all 34 players next season? How's the yearly draft worked out?
Cheers.you have a roster of 40, can keep 34, 6 round rookie/FA draft, order is reverse of standings, not snake, so 10-1, 10-1 and so on
JD decided to let it go through despite obviously being effected by it, you wouldnt have started 4 QBs this year anyway, Ryan aint gonna startCommon good my ass.
The majority voted to increase their chances of winning. Thats nice. Bad luck to the poor suckers who actually did the right thing, and used the rules properly, who are now kicked up the ass huh?
Its not a minor change, its ruined my entire drafting stategy and put me and others at a huge disadvantage, when there is no reason why we should be at a disadvantage for something that was no fault of our own.
The entire league is devoid of integrity if you're allowed to change the rules, after its begun, because you've realized that some people have drafted to strength. Changing the rules midway, you call it the 'greater good', i call it cheating. Ridiculously claiming that i can draft like nothing happened now is pathetic. So, i can magically go back and get the #1 WRs i missed out on can i? We've drafted based on the rules that were set clearly, and for everyone, and changing that midway is a move devoid of any credibility.
Meanwhile, ____ being treated like a second class citizen. You chose who is in the MK I on a whim, and now their decisions are binding on us? What a joke.

I understand where you are coming from and was against a change for a long time, in the end i couldnt be bothered arguing anymore
Was right up there on my list, i like the guy, but unlikely to do much this year, if Smith starts i dont see much from him, once Flacco gets going in 09 or 2010 he could be a very good receiver when teamed with Flacco's arm strength, certainly (dis)like the pick as i wanted him, showed good signs as a rookie, injuries curtailed him last yearHow do you likes Demetrius' chances of moving up this year D? Will be hard with a new QB, and I am not sure that he will break out, only that there is a huge possibility... If Mason slows down a bit, only good signs ahead... Even Clayton may have inconsistency troubles...
Team Russell
Peyton Manning QB IND
Frank Gore RB SF
Matt Forte RB Chi
Dwayne Bowe WR KC
Phillip Rivers QB SD
Jamarcus Russell QB Oak
Ted Ginn WR Mia
David Harris LB NYJ
Matt Ryan QB Atl
Ahmad Bradshaw RB NYG
Heath Miller TE Pit
Chris Long DE Stl
Ray Rice RB Bal
JeffDunne was affected far more than you and he agreed to the change for the good of the comp. You can too with a different perspective. Or you can complain all night post after post. So, my question to you is, what are you gonna do? Accept it, complain all year but still play, or decide to quit and leave? Make a choice.
And your WHOLE draft is not ruined. Don't exaggerate....
13 out of 34 rounds. 13 players out of 40 on a roster. Your "draft strategy" is not ruined at 13/34 stage.
Manning-Rivers-Russell-Ryan. You can still play three of them. You still have a roster size of 5 for QBs. Your QBs arent even that good.
JeffDunne has Brady-Brees-Hasselbeck-Anderson.
