Check it out - Very happy with pies picks:thumbsu:

Here

Thanks for the link DTM.

I'll be disappointed if we take Ballantyne at 37 but furious if we pick him at 21 or 24.

It just doesn't make sense. Medhurst was a far better talent and he went in the 50's. Also, how many guys under 175cm go top 30 in a draft?

You can look at it like that, or another way.

How many of those short guy's went late because of their height, but should have gone top 30?

Matt Campbell was a rookie, who was overlooked his whole junior career because of his height, did well in the SANFL at 19, and is now one of our most important players. In hindsight he should of been a top quality prospect.

I see a fair coincidence in Dylan Joyce' situation atm.

This way you could be ensuring you get one of these guys, rather than rolling the dice later in the draft.

Quality small forwards are hot property atm, they are the barometer of modern AFL forward lines.

If the top 7 pans out like this then I pray we have the vision to go for Harlett instead of Vickery. HH is going to be a rolls royce - elite skills, reads the play beautifully, and a clearance machine!!

1st round rucks are always a risk, generally take too long to develop and we can always trade for a serviceable one in the future.

But he's from WA so he has to be rated highly by one of our teams!

I would spew if we took Ballantyne, I imagine you would be feeling pretty ill too.

I'd be stoked if we got one of Hurley, Yarran, Rich or Hartlett

Hurley would bolster our young forward stocks given that Knights has earmarked Pears, Daniher and Hooker for defence

Im hoping Melbourne dont take lynch at 17, purely because he doesnt address our needs of true KPP's or a quick midfield.

Apart from that it is very interesting. Obviously Shaun Mckernan isnt rated as highly as some though.

Jackson was on the flight to Adelaide this morning with his Dad,just said hello to him as they were in row 2 and me in 19-go figure.

Liam Jones isn't too bad at that pick, perhaps a tad early, but is certainly underrated.

We get him at pick 14 & pick 32 going by this so which one is early?

The photo & write up for pick 14 is of Cordy, but Jones's name is listed. Don't they have someone who proof reads the articles?

Port won't pick midfielders with the first two picks. If we do, the draft has been an abject failure.

No matter who is available Hartlett will NOT get past Richmond.

And why would Richmond get Post, with Schoenmakers and Brown there?

So you would pass on Rich if available at 4?

I want Post. Badly.

Maybe those who don't rate the Shuman are beginning to see the light.

Surely if Trengove is worth taking at 10 (for Adelaide) then he is worth taking at 5 (Essendon). Most people would put a fit Trengove ahead of a fit Hurley. Nothing special from the Herald Sun.

Interesting. Looks like they might have had a look at the official BF phantom with McKernan sliding into mid 2nd round;) The mistakes are pretty piss-poor and it's good to see they went to the effort of updating the most recent heights and weights (197cm Naitanui & 189cm Schoenmakers).

No surprises at all in the first round, couple of things i agree with like Port taking Rich if available, but i disagree where they say that Port would take Hill or Hartlett if Rich is gone. Not sure what to think of Lynch at 17.

Interesting to see them have Zaharakis taken ahead of Smith, Shuey, Suban & Robinson. Couple you might consider bolters in Ballantyne & O'Keefe, but nothing astounding. If they're correct about Suban at 30 does that mean we'll have to endure Hodgey running nude through Bourke St?
