Just after some thoughts now trade week is done.
Will we grab an ex player,or just fill with rookies.

I wont mention ex players names,
But im thinking marty clarke wont fill to many holes, and i thought we may need another leigh brown role.

Whats available and who?
Will caff take a pay cut or walk.

And who gets delisted?

Im hoping we grab another player,as we need to mix something up,to challenge geelong and even hawthorn.
Last years line up,will struggle.

The likes of jolly, reid, maxwell, all fit
Nathan brown to free up tarrant,

Here is the official list of delisitngs from other clubs, it's pretty up to date seeing as Setanta's name is on there, and that news was only released this arvo.

Not a heap of great names on there, maybe one of the delisted Suns players might be work a crack, Joel Tippett or Michael Coad could make it long term if given time to develop.

I can't see us picking up anyone in either the National or Pre Season drafts from the delistings though, we are having enough trouble trying to figure out who to delist from the club, let alone worrying about bringing in others.

At 28 years old and with injury concerns (hammy torn off the bone Matty Lloyd style) he ain't worth it and he feels no need. Nathan Brown will be back, we have Reid, Tarrant and even Keeffe too. No need.

Troy Taylor would be interesting and humourous if we actually took him in the draft. Would make Richmond's blood boil for sure and apparently we did all the ground work to get him to nominate 2 years ago and were very keen. Would be a swifty if Hine took the punt.

So the Try Hard got the Sack Finally from the Blues

Has Taylor nominated? Would be an interesting pickup with a late pick, assuming the other clubs are scared off by the runner he did on Richmond and his off field exploits. Big risk, but if it was pick 67 it might be worth it.

Kinda surprised to see Nason delisted, but he kinda never did look much like a footballer even though he had a pretty great debut season.

Would use the 2 rookie picks on mature bodies - not fussed if they have been on a list previously.

Mark Baguley from Frankston might be one we are looking at.

Read that we been talking to Baguley about the Draft

Not sure we'd want to take a guy who refused to return to Melbourne...and most likely won't nominate for the draft...Troy Taylor will just become one of the many players who had all the talent but just didn't care enough (Allen Jakovich is a great example, though he also had injuries)

I doubt we'll draft a discard. I would expect we'd use picks on kids or not discard more of the players we already have.

I can't see why we need someone in the Leigh Brown role though. Maybe a quality tall forward who can ruck like Anthony Rocca but they don't grow on trees and I suspect there aren't going to be any in the draft. As it is I am happy to go with Cameron Wood for 2012 and asses from there.

I hope (and think that we will) stay a million miles away from Troy Taylor unless something huge has changed.

His attitude stinks. Do not want.

Dubious that he'll take kpp's but you never know. I expect best available unless there is some hidden gem. Although I do agree, it's an area we could do with more options.

Those who could be ok options for recycling:

O'Hailpin is interesting as a backup KPF since he can play now.

Mitch Farmer is solid if looking for a small defender.

Broc McCauley is a solid option as a no.2 ruckman.

Ben Ross is a very good ball user. Has nice pace. (outside mid - been a little unlucky with injury but put together a very good vfl season)

Jarryd Cachia as an inside mid is a very solid option.

That said I don't expect us to go down the recycle route. The only real fits for us who could be looked at are O'Hailpin, Farmer and McCauley. But with the salary cap situation and the fact these are more depth quality players considering the health of our list most likely we stick to drafting.

He's a spud & that is exactly what I thought of Leigh Brown at the end of 2008. As for Troy Talyor, Hine was very keen on him, there was quite a bit of information on Hine trying to recruit him in that 2009 book about Collingwood.

Looks like the Tiges took the punt for us, they did their doe, hasn't got what it takes.

worst case scenario is he can provide some inadvertent lulz in the 2nds. :D

I can hear Travis' testicles retracting as we speak.

I rate the guy, call me stupid but he brings aggression to the table, is able to take turns in the ruck and he's actually not a bad kick for goal (considering), we could do a lot worse, gives 100% every time and i've seen him trouble more than one KB.
