Your hate should be directed at the owners. Would be nice obviously if the players would just accept and get a season done but the owners are being completely unreasonable over and over again. Players have given up enough to get them back to being profitable and they still want to lowball them. So **** the small market owners and **** stern.

That's the problem though. It's not profitable for small market teams under the current proposal.

**** the players indeed. **** their union. **** their agents. Everyone knew that Stern and the owners weren't going to improve the offer significantly. They should've known they weren't going to get the perfect offer. Why blow the whole thing up now when they could've done it in July?

The union attorney (Kessler) threatened this in February 2010, so it's been their plan all along if they didn't get the deal they wanted. Anyone with half a brain and a bit of foresight knew Stern was going to keep screwing them down. Why not bring the plan into action right away when the season wasn't in jeopardy?

I hope they end up with a 40% share of the BRI, scaled back contracts and all kinds of other ****ed up conditions. **** them.

That's the problem though. It's not profitable for small market teams under the current proposal.

How much of their inability to show a profit is because of their own ineptitude vs being about what city they are in though? Just seems like a ton of these owners are wanting to be bailed out for the way they mismanaged their franchises and all the awful contracts they've signed.

It;s also frustrating to see most of public opinion being "Hey just sign the deal, you guys are just millionaires thwoing a ball in a hoop". They were doomed in the P.R race from the get go because of the poor poor owners not showing a profit.
