I like that idea NT, we attempted to do that in NP ages ago, just lost some steam as you cannot be bothered updating the team.

I would be shocked if it did not finish in the top 2000.

1 thing that I would like to see and would be interesting is to have a generic BF Team which can be managed by all posters throughout the season.

Probably pie in the sky type stuff but would be interesting none the less.....maybe we could use 1 of DWD several teams

Good idea, but it would be very awkward if this generic team won the whole thing.

$50,000 divided by 100,000 members is $0.50 per person Just make sure the organiser realises that! Also may not be eligible for prizes due to multiple team!

I nominate NT Thunder to be in the famous coach thread, who I believed finished top 10 or was it top 5 overall in DT and very solid in SC.

EDIT - just realised it's a car, therefore each member can drive the car for a few hours

Another option is to start with an auto-fill and then try to fix it over the course of the season - a bit like one of those episodes of Masterchef where they start with the dodgey curry and have to fix it one ingredient at a time.

Makes for a lot of amusement.

My collegues and I set a up a separate League devoted to this concept. Bascially we each had to hit auto-fill and you were stuck with what you got - we called it the Terry League in honour of Terry Wallace's five year struggle at Richmond. In the early rounds it's donut city but by season's end it's amazing how you can get to a fairly decent side. This year, we're going to do a single auto-fill and each person will then have to adopt the exact same starting team.

Takes aggressive trading to a whole new level.

Not a bad idea that BF team!

I've come top 1000 the last 4 years...aroundabout 200th, 300th, 500th and 900th. Getting worse not better, as the number of good coaches increases.

But I don't think that should qualify me as a "famous DT coach".

Just my opinion but it should be a quite exclusive list I reckon - past winners, well known DT advocates from the main websites like DT talk, and other gun coaches/experts around the traps. If it got too broad it'd lose its purpose.

It would need someone to manage the team set-up and trades; however we could use polls or posts to manage the team through 2012 by popularity of certain trades, I' sure it would create some interesting and amusing posting. Stock standard BF team would be easy to set-up and work out.

I'll go around again, this time without heading off to Europe for 4 weeks at the end of the DT season, I may remember to fix my team in the last week.

That cost me three pints of beer and a bowl of wedges to Zerg.

I think I managed to get Zerg a little tipsy, so that was a win.

Either:

1. Must be famous (part of a popular DT media program or website)
or
2. Rank in the top 500 on a consistent basis

Hmmm, that would theoretically preclude lemonmaster and open the door to a RT/DWD/KA... like for like.

Saying I got a little tipsy is like saying the Pope is a little bit catholic. The hangover set in around 6:30 and it was ugly. As I currently owe you 1 pint and a bowl of wedges I think I need to win to break even

Definitely harrass the other FFC guys who haven't paid yet. They're probably just slacking.
