Listening to "The List Manager" on the radio today, running thru our list, don't think the stupid nong mentioned Lachie once!

Even worse, he mentioned him but said we sometimes shifted him forward, so "The List Manager" doesn't know what he is, and thus wrote him off as a key defender

Can't see Freo getting close to the Cats, especially without McPharlin.

Yes McPharlin is a big out, Cats are in form, but Freo are quick and also in form...

If the tribunal don't overturn Stevie J's suspension its a joke!!!!

How can they give a player a 1 match suspension for that, seriously!
How's his record? Only way i cans ee it being worth a match.

Mitch only got a fine he was throwing big punches at one point thought he was gone.

the tribunal is scared of Robbo :P

Cant be good, but he shouldn't receive any extra loading for that incident anyway, that goes on 100 times in every match.
You knwo the MRP though. A bunch of guys in a room with their magic 8 ball and 12 sides die.

Read this in the book 'The Brownlow' (Slattery Media Group publication)
Robert DiPierdomenico being interviewed about his 86 Brownlow win was asked:

Did you put more pressure on yourself?
No, but even after we lost the 1987 Grand Final, a group of us went out and trained the next day, the next day and every other day. We made a commitment to the next year and it was a great year. We won this and that and we can all look back and say: "I remember the day after the Grand Final when I was running with a group of guys who were all pushing each other on." That helped us succeed.

This from Grand Finalists! That is what you call hunger - remembering they had already won the premiership the year before. You know the rest - they went on to win the next two and some more.

I wonder how many we would have willing to make that commitment last Sunday or more to the point - who would have the leadership to pull it off?

I want to be in charge of selecting the GF entertainment.
How hard could it be?

Ok, I'm in charge.
Here's what you're getting.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
They'll do Free Falling, Refugee, and a traveling Wilbury's cover of Handle Me With Care. Then finish with a cover of the old Thin Lizzy song Dancing In The Moonlight. :)

After the game, we'll have The Boss, who'll do Born To Run, and whatever else you like, and then if AC/DC can't make it, he'll do Long Way To The Top.

ok?

I suspect that those days and those blokes are gone Coach - for Melbourne teams anyway....

Much more about the pure business, stats, KPI's etc these days than pure passion unfortunately (IMO) *sigh*

^^^^^^^^
So you think we don't have one single player possessing what it takes to be an Olympian (or a Hawthorn champion )

SAD :(

ps I think Juddy would have if he had not done a hammie

pps Mods - not sure why this could not be a thread. You may not like everything but surely you agree we need more than half a dozen threads

AFL just tweeting Moloney parting ways with Melbourne and will be a free agent.
