Have great expectations every future article written about the tingles will begin with"

The AFC which is guilty of...........etc etc etc....................

The standard has already been set...."cash strapped"............"controversial"

Got to hand it to the journo's - the latest is 'financial mire'. Must be the slow preseason.

And now the Crows themselves will apparently be pleading for leniency because it was they who "alerted the AFL to the irregularities".
For about 2 years there's been whispers of a secret clause in Tippett's contract allowing him to go to the club of his choice, and each time they've been asked about it they've denied it's existence. Now they have the gall to claim they blew the whistle on themselves.
Of course, it would have nothing to do with Tippett's lawyers threatening legal action if the crows reneged on the deal, would it.

Spot on finny.

The Nazis telling people about Auschwitz wouldn't make it any less wrong would it?

Yea not sure what he's done wrong tbh.

Youngish guy signs a contract that his manager and his club gave the OK to.

Apparently he's going to sue the Crows as well. Good on him.

I agree. He may be stupid but the real crooks here are the afc and the snafl old boys club that think they are above everyone else including the afl.

Top work by the AdelaideNow crew, I was expecting to see a big picture of Triggy on the page but was instead greeted by a couple of kids who hit 500 odd in their under 14's cricket match. Disappointed, I clicked on the link only to see the Crows article pop up

Perhaps Martin Bryant should have used the Crows defense when he offed half of Port Arthur and walked into the cop shop after he did it and alerted them

surely he would have received no more than a slap on the wrist and the Tasmanian media coming out and saying he did nothing wrong

It'd be like George Pell catching wind of a looming Royal Commission into claims of sexual abuse by catholic priests and brothers and then going to the cops to say "i think we may have some pedeophiles among our numbers".

More like "The harshly dealt AFC"

"It appears one or two of our priests have been caught canoodling with an altar boy or two"

Another article in today's print edition on Dean Brogan (and Chad Cornes) "extending their careers to two seasons past what Port Adelaide considered their use-by date".
Two weeks later
The GWS Giants have de-listed ruckman Dean Brogan

So we'll be seeing a 'Port proven right: Dean Brogan delisted after playing only 9 games for the Giants' story tomorrow I assume

Yeah I was thinking the same! More of a dog act to sign him and delist him than to say buddy we think your time is up!

We should rookie Brogan

Isn't he busy being a journo in Canberra?

He is, but his role up there has changed a bit in recent times.

Additionally his new house in Adelaide is nearly finished and his wife is keen to get back. Sounds like he's been negotiating a shift back to Adelaide and change of setup with his job, and will coach part time.

Fixed ;)

you'd have to say Brogan was delisted to make room for Tippett who is obviously going to be picked up by them in the PSD

Brogan said in a radio interview that he wasnt expecting to play on next year but then was told to start training for next season

He is on their coaching panel and wants to take coaching further so i doubt he will care about being delisted... it was probably a mutual decision anyway
