Maybe he'll go on to be a successful reserves coach, and they'll use that as evidence.

Pretty much. Teams should have learned from that.

No need to sign coaches who haven't achieved anything to long-term deals - it isn't as though they were competing against anyone for his services.

Not exactly comparable. Average age of Knights' teams in his last year was the same as Scott's in his first year. Knights had to pare back before he could go anywhere. But it's all been said before...

Scott has had a failed year. Maturing team + few injuries + winning positions + no finals = failed season.

Don't think a coach should necessarily be condemned over one backwards step, but no doubt Scott needs to get North back on track next year.

Matty Knights would be a good senior assistant coach I think. Some people just aren't cut out to be a head senior coach.

North's debt has rapidly reduced and will almost certainly be wiped out within a couple of years.
To say that we're on 'life support' is laughable.
