Sounds like you just don't dig fantasy.

In general, I don't really like fantasy. I only like the 1st two Harry Potter movies. The other ones tried to be too dark and serious, and I just can't take fantasy seriously. The suspension of disbelief is just too much for me.

I suppose the Pirates of the Caribbean movies could be considered fantasy to some extent and I love those, so I don't dislike all of it.

I've just started watching breaking bad - no spoilers plz !

Enjoying it so far, but apparently it gets better in the 2nd season.

The main character is the most brilliant actor you will see and has won pretty much every award for his performance (guy from malcom in the middle)

Shame that he dies in the second season.

Boardwalk! That's one to go on my downloads list! Not really a fan of Breaking Bad. It's good but a bit too morbid for me. Or more the characters are unlikeable. Especially his missus.

Hmmm I like most of the characters but Walt steals the show so I guess you could say they don't get the time to develop their characters?

Malcolm in the Middle was my 2nd favourite show behind The Simpsons when I was in my teens. I still watch it regularly. Bryan Cranston is fantastic as Hal in that show!

Yep, nice character Depp but it gets annoying (to me) even before the first film finishes.

Spot on, I nearly mentioned Walt's son. Jeesie is the disappointing one as he shares a lot of screentime but you get the feeling it wouldn't matter who played him. I like Weed too.

I liked the first one as cheeseball as it is. It does surprise me at how many people were getting genuinely excited at going to see the 6th one. And these weren't 16yos. I didn't say anything. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some dumb action movies (Arnold Schwarzenegger movies are some of my all-time favourites), but Fast and the Furious does nothing for me, not even when I was a teenager.

On the topic of fantasy, Tim Burton is one of my favourite directors (mostly his older stuff rather than his recent stuff), and I find his movies to be extremely imaginative. The fantasy that I dislike are the ones that are just overkill with the CGI special effects, and try to be super serious at the same time. I'm not into serious drama movies, so when a fantasy movie tries to be a serious drama, I just find it to be a bit bullshit. If the movie doesn't take itself seriously and tries to be fun (e.g. the 1st two Harry Potter's, Pirates, Tim Burton), then I enjoy it because I'm not sitting there going "bullshit!" all the time.

Those are just my opinions, so different strokes for different folks and all that good stuff.

Yep, the anti-Bucks thread has been resurrected, steam coming out. Looking forward to 2014 and my favourite TV shows coming back, I have been in withdrawal. Couldn't get into Breaking Bad. Currently watching The White Queen a poor mans version of GOT. Not too bad, watchable.

Coming from a European background, I think that it is a good idea. May deter many from considering the trip. Not so sure those that are already here qualify as refugees as costs a lot of money to get on the boat.

Your last tip on Crossing lines was ok (oh no she died!) although I've still only watched the first 3 & the second one was a tad below the first double episode, as you'ld expect. Still woth checking more out though.
