Rocky is contracted, lined up as future captain, and as I said, firmly part of the ingroup at the moment. Just super unlikely. We have the cap space to match any offer from any club at the moment bar Sydney apparently.

Rumour has it he was spotted lunching over in Perth today.....

Don't expect him to stay and don't really care. Has been part of our problem for too long. Hopefully he gets a big pay-packet and we get better compo than we got for Moloney and Rivers.

Rockliff is worth more to Brisbane than any other club, as he is integral to the team ethos and culture. He's one of the 3 Rs, and the leader of the wave of younger players coming through to take over as the last of the premiership players drift away. The Lions would move heaven and Earth to match any offer if money was what it took.

Im looking at Brisbane with interest to be honest, both are at hard times atm, both will be strong enough to kick out of it though, youre just lucky it hadnt affected your on field performance, no doubt the speculation has affected ours.

My money has been on us going hard at Sloane for a while. Adelaide have no picks and are apparently keen on Aish.

thats why i used hadnt and not hasn't, media love is not good for the stability of footy teams, we havent been out of it since we lost the plot 5ish years ago

He's a very good ball winner with average skills and average pace. He will be 29 at the start of next season and his best footy is behind him. You wouldn't get a pick in the top 20 for him.

Good question - there havnt been too many whispers about Blease other than 1 or 2 unsubstantiated comments on here that havnt popped up in the media.

He is contracted for next year, but although he has the pace we currently lack, he is a one-way runner which doesnt fit Roos' ethos as far as I can tell.

I would be happy with a 3rd rounder for him, but I suspect others around here would like to see him get at least 1 more year under Roos to see if he can step it up.

My opinion is that he wont make it.
