Not literally, because that would be illegal (other than the legal status of murdering him I can't see any other reason not to though).

But to reduce his influence in our country. The bloke has a massive monopoly over our print media and cost us an excellent NBN system to shore up his shitty foxtel service.

The best way to murder his influence in our nation is to ignore him through boycott. So with this simple Chrome app, every single website owned by Murdoch can be blocked on your computer. I'm sure there are plenty of decent Aussies on this forum who are sick of the way this seppo bastard has ruined our political process almost single handedly, continues to dumb down the populace and victimises any group that threatens his monopoly.

So here's the link, not downloading it is about the most un-Australian thing you can do: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...oepiacmhnmbiilhpojodnaopndhddpg/related?hl=en

Billionaires are a funny type of people.

Some of them don't act like total dickheads. Buffett, Trump, Gates and sometimes Branson I don't mind.

Guys like Murdoch are the ones that the world would be better without. Loves his propaganda and wealth gap. Absolute scum

Does Murdoch personally write articles in the print media? I would much rather have private sector ownership of the media as opposed to one which was controlled by the state. It is laughable to suggest that to work at one of Murdoch newspapers you have to undergo some form of indoctrination whereby you learn to cater for Murdoch's beliefs. Or perhaps Mr. Murdoch reviews every article written and makes his own changes before being published:rolleyes:

No doubt any editors he appoints would have to be sympathetic to his general philosophies though.

There's a difference between having multiple news agencies competing for readership and having high standards.... and one a-hole having a near monopoly to try and force his extremist beliefs on the most gullible people in the country.

It is well documented that his "news" service regularly embellishes and outright lies to further his political aims. They are essentially the propaganda wing of the Liberal Party and his monopoly needs to be crushed for the good of the nation. And yes their editors and political correspondents DO have to be sympathetic to his views. Read that absolute swine from the telegraph on twitter, she's a real piece of work. Actually, don't read it, ignore it. Kill them off.

Installed the extension. Not that I have any intention of completely boycotting his websites but it would be good to get a true guage of the reach he has in my life.

As has been said to boycott him would almost require a complete disconnect with media, which is unfortunate because such power shouldn't belong to one company.
We could club together and hire someone to do it, you can put me down for a contribution. Anybody know a good hitman?

Ross Ulbricht doesn't!!!
Yoo hoo anonymous.... why don't you do an attack on rupert murdoch. Surely he is an obvious target.

I could be wrong but as far as I know they haven't really specifically targetting News Corp in anything which is pretty strange. The general philosophies and principals of news corp are pretty much complete anathema to anonymous.

Stream it for free online.

At least steal it off him, if you have to watch it.

if the quality of online streams wasn't poor, this'd be a good option

Good post, and as staunchly as I'm against him - if someone links me to what they claim to be a good article, or I want to read something on one of his sites - the plug in doesn't stop me from seeing it. It just warns me that its owned by Newscorp first.

I've had it installed one day, so far zero warnings. Good signs.

Foxtel is the only Murdoch media I consume and as Bunk Moreland said above, there's no way I'm getting rid of it until I either lose complete interest in sport or there's a suitable alternative for live and recorded HD sport.

Otherwise, the only time I ever read news.com, or the Tele/Hun is when someone links to it off a forum

edit: and the NRL Super Coach

That NBN would have been pretty good hey

Socialist idea thinking that taxpayers could fund a giant fibre network linking everybody up in our great country of wide open spaces and low population density.

I'm amazed my internet here is worse than what it was in Darwin.

The only thing that matters is where Telecom plonked the exchange way back in the 80s or earlier.

Craziest part is all those homes that actually have the fibre already not getting connected to it. Insane.

Those billionaires and mining companies sure got their money's worth for their donations to the LNP last election.
