With only a 5 day break between the final SANFL game and Collingwood game.

I'd rather he played v Melbourne, blow off the AFL cobwebs and get a decent break to overcome sore spots ready for the Pies.

Wow I didnt factor that at all. No way should he play against the Pies if he is coming off a 5 day break.

Who comes out if Tex comes in?

Pets IMO

Betts, Wright and Laird can cover for any small forward requirements do all 3 can play other roles if required

Lynch plays high, JJ as the Forward / back up ruck, JPod and Tex play in the CHF / FF key positions

No one, its Tex we ask the AFL if we can play with 25 players! :p

Reilly? We cannot drop - Pods,Lynch,JJ

You're in trouble now.

That tough guy FenderBender will attack your manhood and AFC will kill your future children.

Can not bash Reilly.

Nailed it imo.

With Laird down there, Petrenko is superfluous to our needs.

Thats unfair he performs the role of a witches hat well. :p

Sometimes he tries to do the Cyril Rioli things but it just never pans out. His occasional flukey goals are just that flukey.

Tex plays 2 more sanfl games, then vs Collingwood....it's about form not his knee.

Pods misses out in my book when Tex plays, unless Jenkins or Lynch gets injured. Pods has been okay, nothing spectacular. Lynch was in our best today vs WB, which is why i'd have Pods out.

Are you serious, Pods game today was great. He provides the perfect foil for Tex. Pods will play even better with Tex in the team.

I think Pets out for Tex isn't a bad idea actually. You tend to think in like-for-likes but as mentioned we've got a lot of shorter guys getting around and Pods and Jenkins can play much higher up the ground if required.

Yes but I think Betts and Tex will be more effective with Lynch across half forward...Pods not needed

Pods benefited from a lot of strength based marks - playing on short people, while the only KPD in the bulldogs team was on Jenkins...

Totally agree...did you see how Pod's just grabbed most of em with one hand while having one had on the opponents jumper?....no way will Pods be doing that vs teams coming up vs Collingwood, Carlton, Freo, North Melb

But with Tex in the team, Pods wont get the number 1 defender.

Much as I would love to see the Texan back next week. Think the Collingwood game should be his target. Then again, playing on the AO against Bernie and his mob or playing at Clare where the 2s are going to get the mother of all hidings. Personally I would rather the Collingwood game as I can't make the Melbourne game.

If it comes down to Lynch vs Pods dropping out of the team, it has to be Pods. IMO, you cannot put a high enough value on what Lynch offers the team with his relentless running, and constantly presenting a target in that 40-70m area of our forward line.

If Tex can give us 25 to 30 goals this season - we should be happy. Anything more than that is a massive bonus.

the club may even make a 'commercial' decision and bring back tex vs Melb to get a higher attendance..given the Collingwood game will probably sell out anyway.
I wouldn't put it past Trigg...given his selfish decisions in the past
