Yes, it is very premature. I know 2014 isn't over and we haven't even had the draft yet. You raise some very very very valid points.

LeCras Lycett Masten
Darling Kennedy Wellingham
Rosa Shuey Gaff
Hurn Brown Schofield
Bennell Mackenzie Sheppard

NN Yeo AAAA
Priddis BBBB McGovern SUB

AAAA = Big body accumulator who is tidy with disposal and shepherds and blocks. Could be Captain Intangibles or Sheed if he stacks on some size over preseason.

BBBB = midsize utility. Maybe Tunbridge, maybe Cripps, maybe someone else.

SUB = someone fast

Dat back 6 looks real good.

Cripps stays in for mine. People are just down on him because he had a dreadful game yesterday but has been very consistent for most of the year.

Sheed/Tunners/Colledge to force their way in though, and one of them to be a sub.

I SEE PRIDDIS... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

LeCras McGovern Cripps
Darling Kennedy Wellingham
Rosa Shuey Gaff
Hurn Brown Schofield
Bennell Mackenzie Sheppard

NicNat Yeo Priddis
Colledge Lycett Masten Sheed

Really need to go hard at more midfielders. Also thinking Jeff Garlett from Carlton woulld be very beneficial and think he'd add something to the forward line. Tunners could break into the lineup too.

Selwood been moved on?

Selwood been moved on?

Oops forgot about him, would put him in for Colledge/Sheed although based on form so far this year, i'd say his spot is potentially up for grabs. Ellis is the other who is probably best 22 but I left him out due to his lack of durability.

So same shit different year.

Sheppard Shuey Gaff
Darling Kennedy Garlett/Yarran
LeCras McGovern Newman

NN Yeo Coniglio
Lycett Selwood/Masten/Wellingham/Sheed/Priddis/Tunbridge

Bolded is just me dreaming. I thought Coniglio would be the most gettable midfielder who would come back to WA, I'd prefer one of the GC midfielders (or Dangerfield/Fyfe while I'm dreaming) but I feel like that is less likely. We really need someone like Yarran and Garlett who would be a great target for us and are both out of contract I believe. And, I'd love to see Newman repay the faith the club has shown in him (assuming he's retained) but I'm really doubtful in this.

I also highly doubt our midfielders would've done enough to force Priddis out of the team.

EDIT: Just realized Coniglio is contracted until 2015 :(

Assuming no trades

Bennell Mackenzie Ellis
Hurn Brown Schofield
Sheppard Shuey Gaff
Darling Kennedy Wellingham
LeCras McGovern ???????

NN Yeo Priddis
Lycett Selwood/Tunbridge/Masten/Sheed/Cripps/Karpany/Newman

Really need someone who can genuinely play in the forward pocket. Didn't put Cripps in there because I'm praying we have a genuinely better option next season. Haven't seen enough of Karpany to include him and we all know how far back Newman is.

So you're saying Sheed is a bust?

By all means feel free to add your best 22. It's easy to recommend delisting everybody. It becomes somewhat harder when you have to put a team together.
Well I can add the players in we already have on our list but I would need a crystal ball to add players we haven't yet recruited.

It's not too hard would you like me to list them for you? It's only the ones that remain on our list.

Selwood to be dropped is a huge call I reckon.
Fair enough. Not saying I agree with dropping selwood.
But at what stage do we stop saying our midfield isn't good enough and start dropping individuals.

I mean we all agree they aren't good enough but as soon as someone says drop selwood people go into a frenzy.
Same with masten and gaff and priddis.
Collectively they aren't getting the job done so they aren't good enough but some people cry when someone mentions them individually. I just don't understand it.

How long do we put up with a midfield that isn't good enough?

Or is that too simplistic.
