I'd love Mitchell at the dogs. Kid is a freak. Our midfield would be unstoppable with Libba, Smith and Mitchell in there. I rate him massively.

Dogs first pick (4-7) for Mitchell and your first (17-19) could go close to getting it done I reckon.

Guys just a question

Dogs First pick (Pick5/6) and 3rd Round Pick
For T Mitchell and your 2nd Round Pick.

What do you think?

(PS I assume Heeney precludes your 1st round pick being part of deal)

Really don't think Mitchell will be considered by the club at all. Obvious talent and and a big ball winner, plus as mentioned earlier , he has a stronger relationship with the club than most kids as he trained with us every school holiday for 18 months before he was drafted, his father also works at the club

We don't have a live 1st Round Pick at this stage

Can't see us trading a guy who can play for a first round pick that history says we'll piss away on a spud.

There's been a rumour or two that were really into Sam Reid.

If he were to want out (unlikely I know, just hypothetically) what would you guys offer up alongside Reid for our first pick (likely top 5 ish) or who would you want from our list.

Sam has been building nicely this year and is developing a nice little niche as a back up ruck/utility and is a very important cog in our set up.

He's also on a pretty big contract that any club would have to absorb....good luck trying to pry him from horse though lol

If the swans were keen to were to trade Reid , I'd think they would want pick 5 and young player ... He is a 22 year old premiership chf after all . If the dogs absolutely wanted another player to go with the deal, someone like a towers may be thrown in

Reid is drafted for another 2 years and seems to be a pretty fundamental part of our future (Seems to really be growing into his role as a utility).

If he requested we trade him to you guys I can see us offering Reid and maybe a developing midfielder for a top 5 selection (Someone like a Robinson who has been dominating our reserves).

That being said I doubt he wants to leave as he has a very good contract (That you guys may be reluctant to pick up), is getting games and the fact he is originally from the border of NSW and VIC it wouldn't be a home sickness issue.

Cheers guys I'm a big fan of Sam Reid and he is exactly what we need IMO as a fantastic mark at CHF.

The guy who came onto our board and said he's top of our list also said Johannison would be dropped for an off field issue and he was that week so he obviously has some kind of info. But yeah no doubt he'd be hard to pry out of the swans.

Reid in a young side getting the best defender every week mate wont offer you more than say a Membrey who the latter would be significantly cheaper.

This may sound strange but I think the club will offer nanker a decent contract extension , even if he doesn't crack a senior game this year.

With the bad luck we have had with drafted ruckman the past decade, the club will want to lockdown this kid. An all australian junior, he came to the club and impressed immediately with his training and trial games, has shown he can go forward and kick a bag( yes I know it's only neafl , but he looks to have the goods to succeed at the top level as a ruck / power forward) I reckon they will say ok we have seen what u can do, have this 2-3 years and forget about ur contract status just to focus on your personal development

and it wouldn't be too expensive to do. Jst a note to ther twams posting trade ideas here Reid, Mitchell, no chance. Even for a first rounder. Our window is open so bestt 22, which they are or will be, will not be traded out for an unproven kid. With Heeney this year, we do not need another 1st rounder, really. I will bet an Av for a year on it..

I would consider Mitchell or a lesser but skilled young player for someone like Carlisle to come into the defence in 2 seasons time when Richards is done. We need to strongly consider it because we don't have any chb's coming through and anyone who thinks Reid is up for it is kidding themselves.

With free agency and the. Player movement these days , you can never tell what is going to happen around the corner . 2 years ago you would have slapped someone in the face if they told we would have Tippett and franklin.

I wouldn't be having a fire sale of players to get a fb until it is our last option.

Key defenders are relatively easy to find, they may all not have huge profiles but there are fringe players at every club, when put into the right environment can become guns.

Richards is a prime example

In my opinion Tom Mitchell will go to GWS!

They are the team that will give us the highest draft pick for him.
They are the team that will offer him the most meaning we can't match it.
They wanted him before we took him & I have a feeling we will get a trade done in order to gain a high draft pick to recruit a gun defender.

I can see the club giving up Mitchell, a gun in & under midfielder of which we have an abundance, in order to gain a player where we will have deficiencies post Grundy & Richards.

These are only my thoughts. We are a pro-active club that is only interested in recruiting players that can help us get to the ultimate.

Do you guys want a guy called Trent Dennis-Lane? you can have him cheap not for Tommy Walsh though. :p

Well apparently he will get 900k k from yous

The trade will be

Fyfe for Reid and Cunnigham

This would be complete fabrication.

Last position we need more players in at the moment is the midfield (Especially as we have players such as Heeney, Dunkley and Mills coming through the next few drafts).
