Boyhood - 8/10 - An amazing film. Considering how it was made, it was surreal to see these two young kids grow up into adults. I will see this movie again and I cant wait to see the stuff they missed out in the DVD

Gone Girl - 8/10 - Wow! Having never read the book, this film had so many twists and turns I wasn't sure where it was going

Dracula Untold - Was a bit meh tbh. The progression of the story just went way too quick for my liking and just couldn't get emotionally attached to any of the characters. It does get props for this though:
Lord Impaler converting his people into Vampires. Shame they turned on him though
5/10

Also $20 for a ****ing ticket and people constantly walking in at least 15 minutes into the movie. No wonder people pirate and another reminder as to why I don't go to the cinema often.

Gone Girl- I was absolutely on the edge of my seat captivated for about 110 of the roughly 130 minutes of this. Perfectly cast (Rosamund Pike is flawless in general anyway) brilliantly acted and expertly directed, can't think of a better film I've seen this year. 9.5/10

I wish someone would open a theatre with NO EATING and NO TALKING during a movie. Nothing worse (ok, there's alot of stuff in life worse but...) than people around you muching on chips, opening packets of stuff, sucking on their straws etc etc. If you can't watch a 2hr movie without shoving shit in you're mouth your fornicated. argghhhhh Rant off*

Gone Girl

Absolutely horrifying in its themes. Great movie that doesn't seem to go for the listed 149 minutes. I think I saw the general outline of the movie about 2/3 of the way through but the ending still was a surprise. The acting by the lead actress was outstanding and Ben Affleck was also very good- but outclassed.

Great direction, great story, great acting.

8.5/10

Ps- if you're down about being single, watch this film. You will appreciate every second of it.

I'm always conscious of being quiet when eating/drinking in a cinema, particularly if I have to open a packet of something, I will wait until a loud part of the movie. :)

Anyhoo- speaking of eating in cinemas. Went to Gold Class to see Hunger Games a while back, had the best seat (imo), middle middle. Anyway, the guy in front of us to the right had the ****en waiter come in with meals at least 6 times I reckon. I mean come on, it was a bloody joke and it was pretty annoying, even tho the employee was being as quiet as she could.

When the lights came on, there were plates and plates of just uneaten food. There should be a limit of how many times you can call the waiters in.

Why not just open your packets during the previews?
Went to Gold Class a while back and some douche bag next seat over kept fugging around with his seat, back and forth back and forth, just killed it. Left half way through the movie and demanded a refund, which was given. Never again. The Palace Nova cinemas here are pretty good i've found most times the other movie goers are on the same level.

A lady in gold class yesterday had a heart rate monitor... For her unborn baby... Not even making this up (I thought it was a pager she kept checking and assumed she had time travelled to 2014, but my wife saw her in the bathroom checking it) didn't really distract me but what in the actual f**k.

Only had an entire cinema to myself once, was a small slice of heaven. Other than taking my nephews to a few kids flicks, I havent been for yonks after last time having to suffer through two ignorant ****ers in the back row yabbering away, dont mind a bit of munching/general food noise, but any talking or phones should be a hanging offence.

22 jump street laughed at the stupidity of the first one

Turned this one off an hour into it

Sin City 2 - loved the crap out of it, but totally get why so many people are quick to criticise it

saw a few this week

The Other Woman 6/10 - very very funny
Blended 1/10 - in top 10 of Worst Movies of All Time!
Gone Girl 10/10 - loved it!!!!

Maybe cause I dont wanna! :p (Like I said, I am always quiet)

Did srsly LOL at the other part. Gold Class is an absolutely novelty for me, I'll admit that- I've only been 3 times in my life. But geeze, fiddle around with the seat for the first 5-10mins (previews) then get the **** over it.

As for good cinemas, Ive found Nova, Kino and Rivoli to be great. Never ever had a problem at Village Sunshine either. Always usually seem to get prick bastards at Hoyts. Oh and down in Geelong too sometimes which is Village.

Only had an entire cinema to myself once, was a small slice of heaven. .

Can be kinda very extremely creepy too tho. I saw 28 Days Later in an empty cinema. Freaked me the **** out. :(

Back to movies: "We Need to Talk About Kevin".

Obviously a very dark movie, but enjoyed watching this for the second time after I've seen it at the movies a few years back, saw/noticed some things I didnt the first time around.

What about headphone outlets in every seat, like on a plane, which could be your option to use them if you wish.

Would fix the problem of talkers right up.

Just watched wolf creek 2 5/10
Extremely generous in my opinion - I loved the original but the sequel was far too formulaic and cliched - I'd be hard pressed to give it more than 2.5/10.
