No he doesn't. Brissy didn't think pick 5 alone would get Beams either. In a negotiation over price, the party with less bargaining power very rarely opens with their best price because they know they will have to move. Boyd has way more trade value than Griffen especially now that Griffen has burnt his bridges

If one of the Lions' Big 4 were in the same headspace as Boyd we'd be doing a lot better too. Unfortunately Dayno has chosen just about the worst list going for us to trade with as both clubs have the same priorities, so there's no mutually beneficial deal about unless Collingwood pulled a huge negotiating rabbit outta the hat.

21 can still be part of the lumumba, varcoe, clark and 30 and 48 swap.

I see Lumumba and Clark as higher value than Varcoe so this may even the ledger a bit.

There is no way GWS should accept Griffin as a straight swap for Boyd and they wont.

I am almost tempted to accept just pick 5 and 25 from Brisbane if it means we will miss out on Crisp. If we bring him in along with Varcoe, I am going to be devastated in the direction this football club is going.

I know it's still rumors with this 5 club deal that is currently being spoken about by the media but it seems pretty strong and I think it looks like it will happen more so than it not happening.

Probably a $1M odd a year contract they can fit in their salary cap I'd suggest.

Gordon has always been a bit of a clown - it'll be Griffen and pick 6 for Boyd,l maybe 19 going back the Doggies way at a stretch but I think Boyd for Griffen and pick 6 will make the doggies happy given that they were looking to trade up into the top 4 picks to nab McCartin or Wright.

With Patfull(he is essentially our Patfull replacement) gone and Gardiner recently signing a contract extension that is seriously unlikely to happen. If it does, you have a future 200 game defender. Tough as nails.

What do you support the club to do? (Opposition respondents will be carded)

Beams is untouchable, a required player, take him off the trade table and enforce his contract

Only trade Beams if we can get parity (even if that means losing him for nothing next year)

Accept the best deal we can get for Beams now while we have a negotiating position (subtract 12)
