Or an extra mid with Suckling,Duryea, Burgers,Hodge and Mitchell rotating through hbf.Opens the door for Litherland I suppose
Shoey to grab chb by end of year. Cant see ckarko letting two beasts in the backline same team with poor disposal. My money on Life of Brian to keep frawley at boxhill in 2025

Shoey could be trimmed up so he can play occasionally as a big midfielder as Roughie does on occasions. From memory Shoey was a midfielder in his teen years and then grew to KPP size. If he's trim and agile now he may be quite effective as a big mid/Ruck Rover on occasions. Otherwise push him up to CHF
I know it's the preseason and it's nice to dream about the possibilities of different roles players might play, but have you even seen Shoey play. His reaction time in traffic isn't his best attribute. We shouldn't underestimate what a freak Roughie is to play the roles he does. He has amazing basketball like reflexes and its underselling his abilities to think guys like Shoey could replicate the big Rough.Shoey could be trimmed up so he can play occasionally as a big midfielder as Roughie does on occasions. If Shoe can play as a midfielder, it would be amazing.
Indeed. You need to be smart about it by identifying positions compatible to play skill sets, but there are a number of benefits to positional flexibility:All I am hearing this pre-season from every other club is how they want diversity from all their players in multiple positions. Sound familiar?!?! What a bunch of sheep. ;-)
Years ago people would have laughed at the idea of Roughy going into the middle ... but look at us now! We are blessed to have Clarko as a coach as he is miles ahead of the competition. He is an innovator and a trailblazer.
Schoe into the midfield sounds fanciful but I have no doubt there will be some very unorthodox moves during the season proper. No one likes change but if it's it successful & achieves the desired outcomes then it's embraced ... & I reckon I'm ready to give Clarko a hug!
I think there is at least one additional benefit. It gives players more empathy for their team mates. By that I mean it helps their understanding of one another's roles and how best to help. Decision making and confidence basically.Indeed. You need to be smart about it by identifying positions compatible to play skill sets, but there are a number of benefits to positional flexibility:
1. It effectively deepens the list to cover injuries;
2. Makes the team less predictable to the opposition;
3. Helps with rotations and might enable our match winners to stay on the field for longer periods; and
4. A possibly overlooked factor is on the mental state of the players - I suspect the different roles freshens the players and add excitement - both during the season, but especially during the long preseason.
It will be really interesting to see how other teams try to copy the Clarkson model. We have been developing this for a few years and have a very experienced team with excellent leaders, so I wonder how less experienced teams will go.
No it's not.It's worth a trial at least. Only issue is his agility. If he's lost some weight it will help with his mobility. He's not a CHB as we have other better options. I see him as a CHF playing midfield occasionally.

Yeah! I heard that too. It definitely is becoming the norm. Essendon aside, almost a quarter of the competition has head coaches that have come from our system. That's a lot of our intellectual property that has left Waverley. No doubt Clarko will be all over this & devising different strategies. He's adopted the same shark metaphor to his coaching as he did in the 08 grand final ... you gotta keep moving forward or else you die.David King was on SEN yesterday saying that Essendon were doing the same thing in match simulations. (Multiple positional changes) Last year they were one of the better sides at retaining the ball through accurate kicking like Hawthorn. Shame about the upcoming suspension.... Could have been a good side this year![]()

He could not literally be a female camel jockey....Gunners could literally be anything, we have just seen brushed the surface, it's scary what he could do in 2015.
Schoey was CHF for SA when he was 17 I think, so it would have been quite early. Gunston was definitely a mid as a junior and teen and then grew. Maybe it was him you were thinking of?Shoey could be trimmed up so he can play occasionally as a big midfielder as Roughie does on occasions. Well he could, but not without a course in hormones and an operation first. But never say everHe could not literally be a female camel jockey....

Do you mean a female jockey of camels or a jockey riding female camels?He could not literally be a female camel jockey....
