If Clarke replaces Watson (or Bailey) from the current line up, who does Faulkner replace when fit?

Not Marsh imo.

Finch
Warner

Smith
Clarke
Maxwell
marsh

Faulkner

Haddin

Johnson
starc
cummins/hazelwood

12 = bailey

Would the selectors be comfortable with a bowling attack of-

Johnson
Starc
Faulkner
Marsh
Maxwell

Plus Smith and Clarke?

Why not play 3 bowlers and faulkneR

Still heaps of batting

Unless Smith or Clarke roll there arm over that means we must get 10 overs out of both of Maxwell and Marsh. I'd prefer we play Faulkner over Bailey and push the batting order up.

Good to see you coming around re Finch, there is only so long you can ignore good stats, hope a few of your mates come around soon too.
My opinion on Finch has changed a bit. I went to the game yesterday. He should've been dismissed early, but capitalized. Good on him. Once he gets going, he's very good.

He just needs to play offside more early on and he is set. Other than slips (where everyone goes out to) he is often out at mid on.

He gets caught driving on the up a lot as well as nicking. He hits the ball in the air heaps more than most batsmaN, it's his advantage and disadvantage at times.

I would hope they aren't

So..... The attack should be?

Johnson, Starc, Hazlewood, Faulkner + any two of Maxwell, Marsh and Watson with Watson the one who should miss

this was definetly the case the 2013-14 summer but has been rectified quite a bit for the 2014-15 summer. Has worked hard on bending that front knee more when playing straight/covers/

Line ball for mine.

Cummins has a bowling average in the mid 30s and plays 1-2 matches a year.

Hazlewood has performed strongly for New South Wales for a few seasons now and has performed at international level this summer.

Hazelwood is the better bowler now, but Cummins has the greater scope IMO due to his raw pace. I personally think Cummins is some way off and is getting a gig for experience

Well yeah but the world cup is now.

I doubt it. I think you need at least one of Hazelwood or Cummins.

I do hope Cummins gets a game at some point. I hate to think of him as 12th man for the whole series when he could have been getting some more cricket under his belt in Shield matches.

Cricket Australia probably have decided that he can't play first class cricket this year
