No doubt they have discussions on where danger is at short of knowing an answer'Twas a three way. Fagan was there too.

Yeah, everyone just wants to go to Hawthorn because there's some nice restaurants on Glenferrie Road.Interesting article in the rag re FA and the push for a shorter qualifying period. It mentioned a players survey on the motivation for FA.
The top 3 responses were more money, extending their career and club location.
No mention of club success
The players are having way too much say over the running of the competition. The AFLPA is starting to become too powerful in my opinion.Interesting article in the rag re FA and the push for a shorter qualifying period. It mentioned a players survey on the motivation for FA.

Can someone summarise the Sloane issue for me? I seem to have missed something.
Needs a haircut, something sensible like coach Walsh has would be the ticket
Im led to believe Sloanes issue is more about the years and not the $.
I'd be fascinated to understand why we don't give him up to 6 years.
Adelaide says there is no reason to panic about the contract status of star midfield duo Patrick Dangerfield and Rory Sloane.
The pair fall out of contract at the end of this season, with Dangerfield qualifying for free agency and being linked to a move to Geelong.
Sloane has spoken more confidently about staying long-term at the Club, and Crows Head of Football David Noble said the Crows were comfortable with where discussions were placed with both players.
"We are in constant dialogue with Rory's manager and with Paddy's, and we're very comfortable with where we are at with both of those guys at the moment," Noble told Crocmedia.
"We don't see that there's necessarily anything to panic about, we're really comfortable, in that we've got a bunch of other guys coming out of contract as well."

You do know they are both part owners in the Alma?
I was being somewhat sarcastic when mentioning that it was "significant", and getting "excited" about some news, any news that isn't speculation, rumour or opinion ....and yes I know they are part owners.
Co-owners of pub have lunch at said pub.
You're probably reading too much into it.

Seems to go against what the consensus view is, that we haven't opened dialogue with Danger yet.
It's nice to actually hear that from the club finally!
Whether its just spin or not, but the way the club has been since Fages has taken over, there is no reason to doubt what Noble is saying (at this stage)
In no way was the hype / speculation regarding Tex bigger than Buddy. Walker hadn't even played 40 goals when all this was going on.
There was a bit of speculation going on in the small fishbowl that is Adelaide - but in the broader AFL community - Walker was a promising 21 year old kid - not a marquee player.
Spin went with the previous CEO.
There is still plenty of spin about. Its just smarter and more consistent.

I think Dougy not signing is the clue to all our list management tactics at the moment. He wouldn't have the same offers on the table as the big 2, so why is he not signed?Douglas on 5aa a while back made it pretty clear he was staying. Of course the longer he doesn't sign the higher the chance of another offer being put in front of him.
Do you realise how little share they have in the pub and who actually owns it .Co-owners of pub have lunch at said pub.

The only conclusion, in my opinion, is that the club are on the hunt and need room to move. Signing terms now would inhibit their ability to do so.
