Pendles in an article in The Age, saying Collingwood are stronger than last year & will prove their doubters wrong by reaching the finalso_O....Seems delusion is a dish best served whole over at Gosch's Paddock!

I think they'll get a better year from Swan though and they do have some reasonable kids. Keep Grundy fit, get Reid back in, if Cloke has a good year then they'll do ok.

When even the Pres comes out of the woodwork, as Pert has done today, & declares that they are going to surprise....Then you know it's a membership drive in the face of the insurmountable truth, that their in for a season of pain & torment....Even hardened Caringbush supporters are beginning to question the powers that be in charge of this current rabble on the field!

As for Swan....the bloke could get 40 possies a game & still waste half of em....Grundy has hit the wall & Reid has had a single good season sum 4 years ago now.

Their in big trouble:.... All their rhetoric to the contrary emanating out of head office, is but a sad betrayal of that fact!

Beware the clubs blowing their own trumpets this time of the year is what I say!...AKA: Tiggers, Sagpies, Scats & Blooze.

I think the bleach that Brereton uses has soaked into his brain - to say that last year's GF was the best game that he's seen Franklin play proves this.
Not unreasonable given very limited opportunities though. Definitely Sydney's best on the day.

He wasn't saying He was sydney's best, he was saying it was the best game he'd seen him play. Ignoring 23 possessions 13 goals 4 behinds in what was essentially 3 quarters. He had a 200 point dream team score. In the 2014 GF he had a score of 79. While I don't place much truk with these sorts of stats that is sufficiantly different to be significant.

Collingwood actually have a reasonably good list. If they can stay on the park they'll certainly be competitive.

But they have a fair amount of young players, so a bit depends on how consistent they can be through the year, and if they don't lose any of their experienced players to injury.
And it would help them considerably if they have someone step up in the forwardline to take the pressure off Cloke

I can see Collingwood being a serious contender this season....For the Wooden Spoon!....They'll need to hit rock bottom before the penny finally drops that young Nafan can't coach!

I don't see the correlation between 2 positive results and Buckley not being able to coach

Didn't say there was....Merely intimating that it's symbolic of what is happening at that club....I've been predicting the Pies to have a horror year in 2015 now for quite some time!:)

Isnt this drug more likely to appear in horse meat...... Hmmmm....... Maybe the AFL Tribunal will investigate Macca's for three years.....
Weren't the players calling for an investigation into a NZ steak dinner? Perhaps they were eating horse steak. That explains the knackery behind the restaurant. I thought it was coincidence.

The tainted beef defence had been used successfully a couple of times in pro cycling. Alberto Contador and Mick Rogers both tested +ve for clenbuterol a few years back. Both claimed it was in the meat they ate, at races in Mexico and China respectively. Apparently in some less regulated markets the drug is used in the cattle because it had the same effect as in humans. Ie, increases lean muscle growth... Therefore more meat. Wouldn't have thought this would be the case in NZ though.

Hey Edie, didn't you get the memo? Jessie White is, by all reports and evidenced by his dominating form in the NAb Challenge, ready to take the competition by the scruff of the neck and give it a damn good shaking! This is his break-out year. :drunk:

Oops! Am I a day too early? ;)

Tom Bell, Tom Hickey.

Did I miss the announcement
I want to say I'm relieved and I am but this is just getting ridiculous.

I'm also hearing that it's what is used to cut cocaine, hence the positive reading rather than tainted meat  and if that's the case then personally I'm glad they are all going to cop 4 years. So tired of the label 'recreational" drugs

I wouldn't be surprised if the 2 collingwood players were done because a illegal (recreational( drug was cut with the banned agent. This goes o show that you do not know what is in any illegal drugs.
