The difference is I dont see you acting like a dick like Kane does questioning people who have a different opinion about something the club has done.
To think that since 2012 our clubs hasnt deserved a ton of negativity for how it has performed and how it has been ran is kinda surprising. To me supporters who dont demand sucess, who dont want change when things are bad, who dont want premierships, and even worse, supporters who do nothing other than attack those who do demand more, need to look at themselfs. Sure. So let's assume you're right. Not quite sure where these supporters who don't want premierships are, but we'll go with it for now.

So how does any of that justify thinking that not hopping onto the Geelong team board and making a nuisance of yourself means you're not a real supporter? Does that also mean I don't want the club to win premierships?

Now you're exaggerating. People are talking about DEFENDING their club against abuse and bullshit allegations by opposition fans.

Moderators on other boards are extremely quick to deal with any of us who might 'beat our chests' on opposition boards so your argument is mute.

Not really sure what the efficiency of moderators has to do with anything. You obviously do it because you think people are going to read it, so the fact that it's cleaned up and that you are "dealt with" quickly isn't really relevant. If they had a sophisticated moderator AI that detected dissenting posts and deleted them immediately, nobody would bother.

The problem with the defending argument is that posters almost never actually just go and defend their club. The vast majority of the time they "defend" by being just as much of an arseh*le as the posters they're defending the club from. And I'm afraid our supporters are not a special group who buck that trend.

And now, on the occasional time when I feel aggrieved enough to want to venture onto an opposition team's board and defend my club, I'm loathe to do it because the last thousand posters who did it made an ass of themselves, and anything I post is likely to be perceived as being more of the same. Short of coming on with my hands raised saying "sorry for the intrusion, I come in peace, no offence meant, sorry" I'm immediately painted with the arseh*le brush because that's how most posters before me have acted.

They accept anything that's served up to them. That led to many years of Trigg mediocrity. We've turned the corner as a club by putting people in charge who don't just accept things and who will fly the flag for our club. Paddy D flies the flag every week. We need more players and administrators who are prepared to get their hands dirty and smack heads.

Excuse me but you need to change your wording. My posts haven't needed to be 'cleaned up' or 'dealt with' over there thanks very much. Get your facts right. I quickly saw that they were utterly one eyed fanatical morons who unless you agreed that Paddy was going to go to Geelong for peanuts you were going to cop their wrath with insults and a ganging up mentality so I left.

Danger won't want to abandon his mates at this time. The 2 years gets him through to free agency so he can leave if he wants. It also gives the Crows enough time to find the right coach and to deliver on the type of club Roo and Fagan have promised. If we can't he leaves and goes wherever he wants. If we do and we are playing high level finals - he stays.

2 years seems a really good fit for him.
