Dunno about that LC, one term governments are incredibly rare. I wouldn't be surprised if the party is re-elected but with different leadership. He won't be re elected. How long until the next election?
Abbott announces anyone who breaks party line and crosses the floor to vote yes on gay marriage will be sacked.
This is why our ******* country is stuck in the dark ages.
This isn't a democracy it's a tyranny, one bloke deciding what our country should think and if you don't follow that line you're going to suffer.
Acknowledge that the world's caught up a bit and allow a conscience vote. Nothing would make me happier as a regular Lib voter than seeing at least one of the small L blokes cross the floor on this issue. It only applies to the front bench. The Liberal Party back bench is and always has been free to vote with its conscience.
The ALP, on the other hand, strictly forbids ANYBODY to vote against part lines. It's possibly worth bearing that in mind when considering which party is the more democratic.
And, for what it's worth, this isn't the edict of a tyrant, but an outcome of a vote of the entire coalition party room, which decided - 66 to 33 - to honour its pre-election policy so as not to betray anyone who voted for them on that basis. Abbott will go to the next election committed to a plebiscite allowing the voters of Australia to decide. Honestly, can he be fairer than that?
Yes, it's a pity he doesn't extend the same consideration to policies not so dear to the heart of the extreme right wing of the Liberal Party. Like no cuts to health, education, the ABC/SBS, no changes to pensions etc. etc.It only applies to the front bench. The Liberal Party back bench is and always has been free to vote with its conscience.

It was pretty funny!i am a conservative and i find what the person said was dumb.
Timmy you nailed the response.
I am truly, genuinely struggling to understand what responses GOPTeens were expecting. Putting aside from the "nailed" one liner, what genuine response were they after? Perhaps AK47, so he could mow muthuf***as down? Or Kalishnakov, so he could mow muthuf***as down? Or Steyr, Sig Sauer, etc. so he could ...
I mean, really, what is the connection between Jesus and guns that the GOPTeens are trying to tease out? I am probably missing something fundamental here.
Isn't GOPTeens a parody account?
Apparently it started in a pile of towels
Ask for a pic of her driving with nothing BUT the blue and white scarf............
Just a thought![]()
