Thing that pissed me off was the GP gave me no medication. I was too sick to drive so didn't go to a second GP.

They generally won't medicate unless you're sick for over 2 weeks. Most anti-virals are ineffectual due to the changing nature of the strains.

GP put me straight on Tamiflu and I was very impressed with the results. I felt improvement within 12 hours.

That kind of thing is only usually prescribed to people who have had it under 2-3 days, it's designed to stop it from getting a foot hold.

I'm honestly perplexed at how he is rated so highly. I watch maybe 4-5 Richmond games a year and he is consistently poor from my limited perspective.

The attitude is to not try and address it with anti-virals unless you really need them.

The Influenza virus mutates far too easily that we risk making it immune to anti-virals by constantly attempting to treat it with them.

Method to their madness even though you would of felt crap for a week.

Just at work, we use granulated 99% sodium hydroxide to help remove potassium based tartrates inside wine tanks. A tub of the pearls had solidified with moisture and my co worker was dislodging it gently with a hammer and a piece shot up under my safety glasses
