Interesting fight going on!

Whats this I hear about a Dangerfield not signing a contract? Is he any good?

Seriously though, The fact we may not believe one individual rumour is understandable. One key point I want to bring attention to everyone is every major rumour we have had has hinted at a 2 year contract! This says to me we have some smoke! The sources that have been dismissed like the legendary dinner party and Sanders rumour and many others seem to have a little life since they all contain this detail. Even Bicks just casually leaked the 2 year bomb, plus Lingy seemed to doubt Danger was coming. Now I am certain someone who could walk into any office in GFC and chat about the direction of the club such as the great red head himself doesn't seem to have any real goss creates an element of doubt.

Anyways I am starting to get pretty confident now.

This is so true! all sources contain this one details that it's a 2 year contract. I don't think i've seen any sources at all saying it's more than 2. So to have this exact same detail over and over again someone knows something And when it came up on FiveAA, Bicks tried to like hide it in a way saying he wasn't going that hard. I honestly think he's signed and announcement next week or he will sign next week and announcement before our final.

I don't think I've posted since Kenny McGregor was tearing it up for the Crows but I thought I'd stick my oar in on this one.
I'm in Brisbane so I don't read/hear every little rumour and tid bit of info.....I get my news from you fine people!
BUT the one thing that has stuck with me was the anonymous message Gerard Whateley read out on the AFL360 Special the day we lost Washy. I used to do a lot of speech writing and one of the tricks of it is to try and sound like the person you're writing for so you kinda get an ear for it. Anyhoo the gist of the message was something like "I was sure he (Walsh) would make me and us into an elite player/team" -there was more and apologies if you guys have discussed this before. I had a really strong sense that the note was from PD, of-course I could be totally wrong but that was just my immediate sense of it at the time and it didn't sound like someone with any intent to leave.

Right..Bloody Marys all round, carry on.

Fagan said not to repeat what he said at the Melbourne Members Forum tonight, but from what he indicated the club will be very well placed in the future whether Dangerfield stays or goes
Good to see you listened ;)

Why would he bother? He knows full well that there were Bigfooty members there, and they can't keep their mouths shut when there is sauce :)

What does this mean???

PM me and I promise not to tell Jay Clark! ;)

I personally see an upside if he leaves.

Will probably end up with two picks in top 20 in a worst case scenario if he leaves.
We lose our best player, those 2 picks would want to turn out to be very good players and one of those was ours anyway.

Yeah don't know why he bothered, but so far no-one has posted what he said so I guess people like him enough to keep quiet

There's no doubting there's some serious talent around the place that the Crows could throw some coin at to help fill the hole left if Dangerfield goes. Redden, Motlop, Aish, Menzel etc.

I'm definitely more optimistic about the future of the club than I was 12 months ago when there was the potential to lose multiple elite players in the same year. Just so sad that Walsh isn't around to oversee it all.

As I said worse case scenario.

Best case is that he stays.

Well actually worse case scenario is that him leaving uncovers another present from Triggy.............
