It's hard to know what Freo could give them that would be satisfactory. Two first rounders and a quality young player (though Ross doesn't play many of those), I guess.

Some Freo posters have been saying either their first/second round pick along with a Zac Clarke as backup for Mumford. Think it's fair. GWS would then trade that pick though most likely as they need more experienced players, they already have enough young talent coming through & great depth.

Apparently GWS deny that McCarthy has requested a trade back to WA.

Barrett (who announced it) has gone to Twitter saying to be clear McCarthy's manager told him that Cam had requested a trade back to WA & that it is on record...

The rumour is that he strained his calf at training earlier this week and hasn't trained since, so had nothing to do with playing last week.

Being reported by a number of media outlets now and Eagles fans are getting worried that the club hasn't denied it.

well he'll be the difference unfortunately. No Priddis, just can't see them winning now. He would have gathered 30 touches, 15 contested, 7 clearances and setup a couple of goals too.
As you said, Hawthorn are quite simply the luckiest team of the modern era.

Agree - WCE can't win without him and Masten especially in wet conditions that would suit Priddis.

Hopefully the rumours are just that. Remember when Gaz was a late out for the 2007 prelim, and Johnson wasn't going to play the 2011 GF, and... ??

yeh true.
I don't get the mind games though. Coaches as good as Clarkson would already have plans in place if Priddis were to miss so it's not going to effect the players mindset at all.
If anything, it helps to switch on the opposition just that little bit more.
