An idea outside the box but if crowley gets delisted, i think we should sign him as either a rookie or staff member so that at training he can sit on cotch and hassle him all training until he learns to break a tag.

Crowley needs to follow Cotch everywhere.

Eat where he eats, trains where he trains, drinks where he drinks, sleeps with who he sleeps with.

KMac can replace Tuck IMO. He needs a big summer in the gym and he will be huge.
IMO next year we should move KMac into the inside mid role and bring in C.Ellis to play outside. Just until his body develops.

Also think we need conca for a full season in the Middle - he would also help the burden on miles

Starting to warm to the idea of Kreuzer. Maybe he could be a big improver along side one of his best mates in cotch.

I think a lot more scrutiny needs to go on Blair Hartley and his so called diamonds in the rough.

When you look at who he targets, he clearly doesn't take into account selecting players that can handle pressure in big games.

There has been a few winners like:

Miles = very good
Houli = good but not brilliant under pressure, was good yesterday.
Maric = good but he's done.

But then you look at:

Grigg = An OK player but not hard enough and can't handle pressure in big games
Chaplin = soft, can't handle pressure in big games
Hunt = OK but suspect under pressure and in big games

A bit of a pattern there IMO.

yes great post, our lack of top shelf talent, ( A GRADERS), is what is hurting us in big finals, too easy to identify and cover too few guns.

Grigg is an outside player. He isnt soft.
Chaplin-totally agree. Hopefully Elton has a big pre-season
Hunt-very under rated on BF. His two way running is what we lacked last year. He had a very good 1st half yesterday. Bad 2nd half though. He has been a winner IMO.

I think that is where we should direct $$ as he won't cost as much.

Stevie J - Initially I couldn't be further against this, but worth the 1 year risk on avg money purely for finals experience. Might calm the boys down a bit.

He was awful but seriously you blokes, Griff came back in after 6 weeks or so out and after an operation on his hand. Perspective guys, he was on a hiding to nothing imo, and deserves a bit of slack.
He had shown some good signs up until he was injured, albeit he was still going missing in games. He may still not turn out to be the star we all hope he will, but he might given he's still fairly young for a kpp.
Just think we are all marking him very hard, not his fault he was selected to play in a final after a long injury absence.

I agree with this, but either Luenberger or Kreuzer as a FA, depending on which one has the better reports from the doctors on their injuries.
We also need another inside mid, I was thinking perhaps we could use our 1st pick in 2016 for Lachie Weller, but I think a gun inside mid is more important now. Not sure who we should target though.
After losing the 3rd EF, I think Stevie J is a necessity

A durable ruck would be nice. Unconvinced in that regard on 'Berger and Kreuzer.

Hampson actually looked ok when called upon this year. And I reckon Vickery could be every bit as good as Kreuzer as a full time ruck... But can we afford to take him out of the forward line?

Smith from the Suns would be an interesting one. Or one of GWS's developing rucks maybe?

The reason Hunt looks bad is he is the only player from the back half running to receive the ball but nearly always is sold under the bus with pressure form the oppo. Sure he can be bad at times, but geez he is only player in that area playing 2 ways.

True. He also wouldn't have piroutted into a Nahas tackle, and might have actually contested some long balls into their forward line rather than expecting someone else to do his job!

Which table? He's a 30 year old defender who can't defend 1 on 1, and is horrible with ball in hand. Certainly won't get a second look on the trade table. Transition him out and into a coaching role. By all accounts he's a good organiser down there... As long a he can organise everyone else around him to do the actual defending work he's fine...!

He has 1 year left on his contract, let's hope 2016 is the year that either Astbury or Elton steps up as his successor and it pushes him out of the side.

Kreuzer is over rated.
We should look at Smith, but more so Lycett.
He's got the potential to be a really dominant ruckman in the future and isn't getting game time.

Treloar would have been perfect, but we need another tough mid. We can't rely on Cotchin and Martin alone. Deledio is more of a forward these days. Miles has no experience and Grigg isn't a tough finals player. If we keep our first pick it has to be selected on an inside midfielder with a strong frame.

Surely with Newman, Knights, Foley and some more delistings a long the way we will have some room to target a strong mid. I'm talking of a body type like a Caddy or Dangerfield. Not Aish.

We lack some speed and need that X-factor Dash type. Hopefully Yarran can get his S*** together and provide this. Not even sure he's worth a second rounder at best. At the moment he certainly isn't.
