I've done more drugs in brisbane than I ever did before I moved here.

Ok so I moved here in grade 2 if that counts for anything

You were a late bloomer?

Ritalin toddler?

I've never taken drugs so I am not an expert in the matter although my brother has been in rehab twice. I believe if Bennell wants to take drugs he will find them no matter which club he ends up at. TBH I think his issues are probably more alcohol related.

Casboult is only 25 and arguably the best contested mark in the competition. If he has an interest in playing for us, we would be crazy not to consider it IMO.

Yes but marking it is one thing, disposing of it is entirely different. He's had a pretty decent midfield at the Blues kicking it to him, yet hasn't set the world alight. I think he's just a player that's destined to frustrate and disappoint. He doesn't have the foot skills to be a strong AFL player.

Tom Hawkins and Travis Cloke at one point in their careers were also frustrating and disappointing. End of the day, no A or B grade forward would want to come to us. So we have to develop our own. At the same time we have to be realistic and understand that we can't rely on 2 twenty year olds, to carry our forwardline. At least Casboult will be able to create a contest so our small forwards can crumb of him and will draw defenders.

I agree with you on Casboult and Bell, but what option do we have. Aish is gone. It's either Seedsman/Oxley + Pick 29 or Bell + Casboult.

I'd take Seedsman + 29 over Bell + Casboult any day of the week. Seedsman is actually a pretty decent player.
However neither is exactly a great deal for Aish. I'd just prefer not to have Casboult clogging our list and prefer not to be perpetually frustrated by Bell's rank foot skills.

AFL is about who makes the least mistakes and turns it over the least amount. Bell/Casboult may try hard but the negatives far outweigh the positives.

WOW. You rather have Pick 29 in a weak draft and a out of contract VFL spud. WOW.

Just want to know from other people, would you prefer Pick 29 + Seedsman or Casboult + Bell.

If we get Casaboult+Bell without losing any picks in a straight swap for Aish, that's a huge win for us and we should definitely take it.

We will be drafting three or four younguns who may be good players in two or three or four years time. Casboult and Bell are needed now for the development of them and the rest of our young list.

We would have to give up more IMO. Both Casboult and Bell are contracted. Aish is not and could really be taken in the PSD by Carlton. Not much point thinking about this trade scenario until Aish has made his decision though.

Yeah we'd have to go 20+Aish for Casaboult+Bell

More upside in Bell than in Seedsman. Big-bodied midfielder to do the gritty stuff along with Rocky and Beams, dishing it out to Hanley, Rich and Zorko on the outside is a tantalising prospect. Happily take him aboard if he wants to come to us. A stronger and tougher version of Redden.

You are taking the pi#$ surely. So a bloke that would come in and be our best forward is a list clogger.Interesting.

mason shaw port adelaide delisted now, 197cm key forward 21

would like to see paine delisted and shaw picked up.

so key forwards would be shaw, close, freeman and hopefully Schache.

Thoughts?

I mentioned Mason Shaw earlier after afl.com did an article saying he was likely to be delisted.

If we get him for nothing as a delisted FA, let's do it. Delisted free agents don't effect free agency compensation I assume ?

Delisted free agents are after trade month so no a Delisted free agent wouldn't effect Leuenberger's compensation

Which we won't be doing because we need the picks for Keays and Hipwood.

We should have enough pending Leuy compo and the pick we get for Redden.

Schasche, Hipwood, Keayes should be our drafting goals, any extra picks should be used on getting in players from other clubs.

Freeman and Close are both 22 next year. Let's not go paying Carlton overs for a bloke that if we're going to rise up the ladder won't be getting a game.
