Very highly rated at Hawthorn. Has had his injury worries but is a huge talent.

Aggressive with good speed and a lot of X factor. I highly doubt Hawthorn would let him go at his lowest value but would be a very good get for WC if they could get him.

Potentially losing Sinclair would be disappointing, he's had a long path to get to where he is and seems like he's loving his footy at the moment- but he'll know he's going to be second ruck at best his whole career here.. if we'd won the flag this year I think that decision would be much easier.

Yeah i do actually !! Originally picked up from GWS then onto Hawks showed promise in 2013 then had illness in 2014 and i didn't think he really took his chances this year..was pretty average i thought..small midfielder with a bit of pace ok user of the ball, But nothing to get excited about !!

Can only think if we offered a huge deal which forced him to quit the Hawks but he's contracted if I'm not wrong. Also I doubt we would do that.

Fully fit without any history of injuries, no disagreement however is value will be at its lowest due to the injuries.

But in all seriousness, not sure why 17 would come into this discussion. He is unproven at the top level and has been in the system a few years already. If he were to say he wants out and nominates us, I would have thought a second or third would be enough for an unproven talent in those circumstances.

But aside from price speculation, I think Anderson would be a good pick up. Many Hawks posters rate him very highly, and he has shown very good ability at VFL level. He kicked 25 goals from 15 games this year and with one game where he kicked 6. At his age, he is ready to emerge and we could be potentially get him before his cost sky rockets.

Hope he does nominate us and, if he does, I assume we can thank Simmo.

We need to deal with Sydney chasing Sinclair the same way we dealt with st kilda when they chased brown

Saints wanted to combine the out of contract cripps trade with the contracted brown trade but we refused. Don't confuse the trades

Make a deal to get jetta like we did cripps offering something but not going overboard since he wants out and return to WA

Like brown, Sinclair still has a year to go on his contract, as a role to play if he stays and didn't ask to leave until a big fat contract was put under his nose. We don't have to trade him so should be looking to extract maximum value out of the trade and then a bit more

Cannot look at picks in isolation.

For example the Selwood 'trade' if correct will be about getting a slight pick upgrade so 'other' deals can be done.

I expect the club has a huge whiteboard with lines and dots going everywhere looking at a bigger overall trade picture rather than looking at each trade in isolation.

I feel like some people are ignoring my points...

1) I don't endorse trading 17 for Anderson
2) Anderson is highly rated at the Hawks at a time where they don't have a huge stock of good kids, therefore his perceived value to them is more than his standard market value to us
3) He is contracted so nominating us doesn't have the same effect
