Dont worry, clubs want him.
Clubs want him, but he has effectively no trade value, and the Dogs want rid of him, so Talia should pretty much be able to wait til the end of the week, get delisted, then sign with whichever team suits him best.

Was always headed that way if we didn't get a ready made replacement (or 2) for Danger. New coach only exacerbates things.

If we don't trade in anyone bar Hamption/Gore... I'm more disappointed in that outcome than the Danger trade.
If that's the result of our trading I'll be waiting to see what we do with those draft picks before passing total judgement.

According to "the list manager" Noble said they wouldnt be trading for pick 5 as he thinks we are better suited to have two picks and not one. For a change I agree with him. Would much prefer a Milara and Burton than a Francis or Parish.
I would rather have two chances at getting a gun than one at this point.

Unless we can do a trade that results in us only giving up 1 of our first rounders. That way we'll either have pick 13 & 5 or 9 & 5 and meet our 2 picks requirement.

Tell you what, I'd be interested in sending Kerridge and picks to Carlton for their number 1. Obviously this is never going to happen, but Weitering is such a mouth watering prospect.

Cheers Bicks . Ever been AFL listed before? Victorian kid I guess? U-18s in Vic?

Thanks
Actually he was originally a NSW lad that was on Collingwood's rookie list for 2 years but had a major shoulder injury and hardly played, delisted and has spent the last 2 years playing for Coburg in the VFL where he won their B & F this year. Has beaten pointlessly plenty of AFL listed forwards this year. *Shoulder has not caused any bother the last 2 years.

You never know I guess. Who would have picked that 1997 would be a shot at a flag at this time in 1996, or 2005 in 2004, or 2012 in 2011?

Who would have predicted that the Eagles would have a shot at a flag this year?

Any year is your next chance at a premiership.

There's a beauty in the draft in mature ager [22] Michael Hartley, 197cm, 105kegs, who really shone in the VFL this year and last, or they may opt to use on of our high picks on impressive youngster Keiran Collins though I doubt it personally.

We are definitely into him

Not necessarily.

If we do 28 + 32 for Sydney's pick 14, then we have 9 - 13 - 14.

13 + 14 = 1,212 + 1,161 = 2,373 points which is equivalent of about pick 3.

So we trade picks 13 and 14 to the Saints for pick 5.

Then we have picks 5 and 9.

Ta-daaaa.

Too many calculators used on this thread this year! ;)

So bring in a player and don't horde picks.

Hopefully we don't get spooked like Carlton did with Boekhurst last year
Yeah, I'm still scratching my head over that one... haha

Pick 7, not top 5.
We've had 2 picks before pick 10 in our entire history, Meesen and Angwin. Both were more than 10 years ago. Both were major flops. But we shouldn't be scared because of a small sample size from a long time ago. A top 5 pick would be great.
We do have an extremely good history (recent and long term) of picks 10-15 though, so either is a good outcome.

They were fed the idea that Essendon were gonna pick him up real early ... The Dodo strikes again
Just a run of the mill rumour, though... Surely they're better than....

Oh. :D

That said, I think you can safely say that Carlton, Brisbane and Melbourne will not win the flag next year!

I'd rather have the 3 first rounders
