Past #3: Jed Anderson - delisted end '22 - 89 NMFC games - go well Jed

Fact is Hawks supporters didn't want to see him go. He is a potential jet, it's very clear and just needs to stay healthy.

Exact opposite to Basti who has peaked and it's see you later, was surplus to our needs and carried stupid $$ due to GWS interest last contract.

We have killed it effectively by swapping Jed for Basti, massive upgrade, and keeping picks :thumbsu:

That might be the biggest call I've heard since my time on BF. At 21 Wells was the second coming

Wells is still the most pure footballer I have seen play.

I've been praying to the footy gods every night for a fit Wells to play out the next two years. I think he deserves it, and I think NMFC & us hangeronerers deserve it. Would love to see him with a Premiorship medal around his neck.

Don't want to sound too much like a fan boi but Wells is one of the nicest people I've ever met in football.

I need to stop. I'm gushing

Interesting call. For the "most pure footballer" to have never been among the top echelon of players in the competition is feint praise indeed. It suggests a talent wasted.

if Jed stays fit he will be a more rounded player then Wells and consistent. Fingers crossed

I agree.

Wells is awesome to watch at best, he has been nowhere near his best near enough due to form or injuries during his career despite it sill being decorated. He has actually hurt us with his poor/absent displays recent years, other teams rely on their jets and they deliver consistently.

Hopefully 2016 can be his year. I doubt it, but I hope.

Mostly due to injury, ironically the same reason Jed hasn't yet played to full potential

Wow. Just watched The VFL GF package. Thanks Giantroo. Jed seems a way better player than I understood. Two of those goals were gold. I don't give a shit that Collingwood got Treloar and Aish. From the way the deal flowed, I prefer Jed anyway. He seems like a shinboner not a whiney whinger.

(Kidding, scoobs. I know what you meant.)

On to it.
Legend GR.

(that bump after giving off the quick dish is savage)
Yep, my favourite part of the clip - this kid is undoubtedly tough as nails, loves the contact. This is the stuff real teams are built around. (Garner, Anderson, Turner, Cunnington, Ziebell) thats a pretty deadly inside mid/half forward rotation.
This is what I want NMFC to be about.

Also love that when he ducks his head through a tackle (ala Thompson) he doesn't even recognise there is an umpire on the field, he just violently whips his head back up and continues on his way.

Going to be a gun.

You could say that but I think we need to appreciate him now for what he is and not what we want him to be. Two Syd Barkers and 200? games. Pretty handy. If he were a St Kilda player there'd be poems written about him.

Sitting at ground level at Docklands, you get a real appreciation for the beauty of his footy. His appears to be hovering on top of the turf when he runs. Or should I say glides.

This could be his last season. Every North supporter owes iy to themselves to sit back and enjoy every games he plays.

He makes playing the game of Australian Rules look effortless.

Was ranked 17 in AFL player rankings prior to these injuries....

Just saying.
