Emac i think is a bigger inclusion even more so than Redden and Jetta.

Reasons being:

- The Gov can swing forward and back when we want too.
- Hurn goes from a negating defender to playing as an attacking halfback with with an elite kick. More chances for 60metre bombs.
- Shep can swing onto a wing if needed and i can see him and Jetta changing it up.
- Wellingham can spend some time in the middle.
- Emac can help out with the big KF's when the web breaks down.

Personally I think that is tripe - we had a great win against a hot side at the G

What got found out was our poor kicking on the biggest stage. We turned the ball over uncharacteristically in the middle of the ground - at which point our defenders had run off to create options - leaving our d50 completely exposed.

The hawks didn't work out the web, they didn't have to - we gifted them the game on a platter.

There was about a dozen times where our players kicked down the wing to a contest where we had only one player there who was out of position.
There was a lot of poor decisions/executions that affected the game more than the web breaking down.
I only recall it blatantly happening twice in the first quarter when Cyril snuck out the back.

He has an elite School boy haircut ! Extra points for Hawkins
Kennedy's homeless man beard minus points .
Can anyone else explain champion data ?
Both were rated above average in 2015 by Champion Data. JK was right on the edge of elite though. Hawkins was not. I actually don't think their key forward weightings are right personally. +1.5 goals, +3.5 score involvements, +2 marks i50, +0.7 GBG, elite level i50 pressure acts and he still isn't elite??? Admittedly he was about average for most other stat areas but the ones above are surely the most important for a key forward? Think it might be disposal numbers that are over weighted given Roughead and Gunston were both rated elite.

Honestly, first and foremost, our psychology let us down in the GF. Simmo's sentiment for last year was "enjoy the ride" - and that mentality was 100% the right way to go for the regular season, but we paid a price for such a quick and unexpected rise. Our boys themselves didn't fully believe they earned the right to be there.

It happens when young teams jump up like that in all manner of sports. They'll know they belong this year.

Also, I agreed with the analysis overall. When you look at the list - Redden and Jetta really do look like 10/10 recruits.

Apart from Dermie it wasn't/isnt too bad. Derm is just a dead set clown.

I just can't understand how he can be on so many shows/games. He is a moron who doesn't do his research and can't name more than half the players at inter state clubs.

disposals numbers for a key forward is overated. your big forward is their to take a few clunks up forward and hit the scoreboard. Only reason i dont disagree with the roughead being elite is because he does the role of a traditional key forward well as well.

Good summary. Cheers.

There's been a few mentions about the Hawks picking apart the web on GF day. I haven't been back to re-watch the GF, but my impression on the day was that we just sh!t the bed a bit. Too fumbly, too many turnovers, Hawks took their chances, we didn't take ours. I didn't think it was a structural issue - we were just a bit awestruck and not ready for the spotlight.

Any opinions on whether the web was really exposed on GF day? It has always been exposed to quick rebound turnover footy (as almost any defensive setup is), and I thought we just committed too many turnovers. I'd be interested in any thoughts on this.
I have never watched it on TV, only at the game, and by the 3rd quarter I was starting to drink to try and forget the whole thing.

I agree we shat the bed. Don't know if it was shown on TV or not - but for me before the game even started it wasn't looking good. After the national anthem half our team broke away towards our side of the ground. Hawks players did not move and shook the umpires hands. Our guys had to get called back into line so they could do likewise. If there was ever an example of how we were overawed then that was it.

Mckenzie will just lock down the main forward in the web and shep wellingham and jetta will be the last line in the web purely incase the ball goes over the top and speed is needed

Reliably, Dermot talks as if we didn't beat hawthorn at all last year. Bloke is either lazy, idiotic, or both.
Sperm's an idiot with a career in the media because he was a top class player with a big personality.

Don't even get me started on his interview technique. He goes through a process of make a statement, makes assumptions on what the answer will be, forgets to ask question, throws over to interviewee for a comment.

Web and any game plan only works when you win the Footy. Game plans aren't designed to win by not having the Footy...
