Bloke was kicking goals and taking grabs then gets dropped for no reason in a final which was oh so Hardwick and proved to be a massive mistake.

Then gets Glandular Fever and some fans expect him to return into a shit storm and be 100% and are blaming him!

The Hardwick supporters have little clue in their defence.

Bobby. I'm a Lennon fan but he kicked one goal (total) in his last six games last year. He had six goalless games out of nine for the season. He was poor in R23 against Norf reserves.

He is in the same mould as Vickery , just happy to have been drafted and has poor commitment .

Not exactly, but thinks he is the duck's guts. Plenty of ego, which is good if harnessed correctly. Definitely not happy just to be on a list - thinks he is/should/will be a star.

We would get the pic after our ladder position, so if we had pic 5 we would receive pic 6 (compo)

If we traded him to a club then no u wouldn't get that, a little like frawley dees got pic 3 where as if they had traded him lucky to have received pic 15

Nah, they changed the rule. To get Band 1 now the player will have to be one of the highest-paid players in the league - in the top 15 I think, maybe 25. No chance of that for Vicks unfortunately. Best we can hope for as FA compo is an end of first round pick. Better would be to trade him for a late first-rounder.

They also have great tanks as a rule to give run off the backline. That is something Lennon never had although he's working on it.

Lennon's lack of pace and tank will always be an issue. He's an inside mid for me - could be a very good one considering his excellent hands and kicking. Flankers need to be able to run and he struggles there.

Would Tom Couch or Sam Darley be guys we would look at drafting with late picks? Seem to have pretty good VFL form.

Soldo would get smashed if we played him in the ruck in the seniors. .and his confidence would be shattered .ruck is a specialist position. You can't throw an inexperienced kid with no afl background.

Soldo would go alright. More than held his own against Longer, Holmes and the other bloke for Sandy recently.

Despite many of our own supporters being on the same page as you, you dont have to try too hard to find under achieving talls who were drafted early and traded for solid first round picks.

Vickery would have a list of clubs lined up offering a first and backing themselves to get the best out of him. His best is very good as a 2nd forward chopping out in the ruck.

Caleb Marchbank as a key defender option?

Yes but target Hurley first. Hurley only cost salary space (lots of it, mind you) and is also the better player.

Marchbank won't attract a big contract but would cost us the equivalent of a pick in the early teens. If we finish with pick 5, a trade of pick 5 for Marchbank and Steele would be fair at this stage of the season. Both players out of contract and potentially looking for more opportunity but if Steele remains a prominent figure in their team then potentially he alone could be worth pick 5 by november.

I have been shot down before but I would be looking at Bellchambers as a FA to fill the number 1 ruck role, a few years back he was very good and kicking goals. Would rather him as a FA than trade for someone like Witts.

The Northern Knights midfielder was awarded a scholarship to join the AFL Academy after impressing for Vic Metro in last year’s under-16 carnival on the Gold Coast and is high on the radar for 2017 draft. Bailey Lambert, son of Craig, is a member of the GWS academy.

So they're members of the GWS and GC academies? Doesn't that mean those clubs get priority access?

But having said that I think the most important metres gained by Dangerfield were the 726,600 metres he made leaving Adelaide back to Moggs creek ...absolute beauties those ones

Their in the academy systems but are not eligible as they haven't spent enough time within the system to be recognised as an academy player. Basically only their to make up numbers and train.

I think the part referring to Naish says that he was impressive at the under 16 carnival on the gold coast, not that he is part of their academy

I read a few pages back that one of posters, Bob maybe? wouldnt trade our first pick this year, say 5-8 for Prestia? Is this a serious post. He is a dead set gun and the chances of trading a better mid than he with our first pick is 50/50 at best IMO.

I would trade our first for a proven young gun any day rather than tackle to draft.

Would definitely help our cause if he nominated us and says he wants to come here, then we may be able to get a bit more. Say our first and third for Prestia and their second.
I think the clubs got to be a bit more creative and aggressive with trading picks, I wouldn't be against doing something like what the Dee's and Gold Coast did like trading around pick 8 for 2x picks in the teens.

People seem to forget that Brandon Ellis has been a major part of our success in recent years, 2014 he made the All Australian squad of 40, and the players on that list are unbelievable, to make it even better he was only 20 years old.
The first part of this year he has been played out of position, he is an out and out winger, not a bloody half back flanker, doesn't help when the whole team is low on confidence either.
He goes to another club for something along the lines of Billy Longer, it will be one of the worst trades in Richmond's history.

Naish is part of the AFL-AIS Academy. It's been operating for years and is totally separate from the franchise academies. He's ours if we want him. So are the Lamberts.

Its quite hilarious how after the laugh a minute debut year that lasted 3 minutes for Hammer where he ended up playing in the VFL forever...now the brains trust in its desperation to prove the pundits wrong continue to select him, because we havent any better, but they continue to select him and then when our arses get handed to us, he is one of a few that did ok. Now bear with me for a sec, without him and with Ivan we win 15, with him and with or without Ivan we sit 1-6...thats after his first year, where we were 2-4 with him and then when he was moved to where his ability warrants, we win the next 9 straight ..Go figure I mean we even have members of the slumber party talking about hammer as a future no 1 ruck to be a combo with Ty and or Griff.....now that is the most ****ed up, delusional shit I have ever encountered anyhwere.

A winger who fails at half-back isn't much of a winger. Seriously, in this age of versatility, the only position he can play is wing? **** him off.
