I didn't think it was worth a suspension, was a very soft hit. That said, the Cats were spineless and didn't even challenge it yet they come out and say no one agrees with it. If no one agreed with the suspension then you'd have taken it to the tribunal and not just sook about it after accepting it. Weak.

That has to be one of the most ridiculous articles I have read in a long time! So he is suggesting that if we don't win another 5 games we will drop out, but then all he talks about after that is that we aren't in premiership contention, is he saying we can't make the finals or that we can't win the flag? Lordy lord is that rubbish, seriously where do they find these people from?

Same bloke did a couple of stories last year and said Hawthorn couldn't win the GF.

He bases his stories on numbers and statistics purely. Doesn't account for standard deviation either.

Happens to be a Geelong supporter in a family full of Hawthorn supporters. Make of that as you will.

Isn't that typical behaviour

Yep. Dumb as shit.

Plus he's like "Hawks fail by being marginally lower than the following stats midway through the season despite their draw in the second half being much easier and they could only go up from here:"

Yep heard chaos too.

Would be interested to know people's thoughts on what that would be.

I am assuming it's having no set position and just utilising his running strength to find space wherever or get to as many contests as he can.

???

My bet is that it's more deceptive and supposed to cause confusion rather than gain a possession in the immediate play. Maybe he intentionally runs counter or perpendicular to the play in order to confuse defensive setups. Maybe weave his way through dead spots in an opponents zone in order to pull it out of shape for other players. Stuff like that.

If it was that wrong, why wouldn't you take it to the tribunal?

Mission accomplished.

He's certainly not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater though.

Long overdue. Porkins has used this tactic a few times since his attack on Stratton. I find the whole issue of you will get off if you grab a handful of jumper, before you deliver a short, sharp jab to your opponent's jaw. However the incident will be treated differently if you forget the jumper. Does that make sense?
Ross?
