That 3rd round pick for Hill is looking more and more likely the way this off-season speculation is toying with us.

The problem we have is Hawthorn will only pay So much. These young players want way to much Coin. We will try to get earlier Draft picks. kids rule .... that's what happened 10 years ago.

$550k is not much dude, and in 2-3 years time it'll be close to the medium wage than it is the high earners.

I really hope so. I'm a pessimist by nature - but I've just got a bad feeling about this off-season.

Being a pessimist is just a defensive mechanism, you do it to prepare for the worst. I do it all the time, work/business, life, football etc.. Rarely does the worst case happen though so I'm hoping for a 50/50 outcome this offseason, maybe a JOM and SFA for Hill. I dunno, whatever

I think Essendrugs said they will 'help' him go elsewhere if he decided to but it would need to be trade still. Lloyd said in the press they'd want a 'Rance-like' player in return - so obviously it'll be the usual Essenscum trade shenanigans.
