There are no excuses! This is weak, the current board are weak, and everyone on this board not prepared to get involved with making real changes are weak.

We need to come together as a collective of the truly passionate Richmond supporters and deliver a new direction for this football club. We can't sit back and whinge every year about another underwhelming season if we are not prepared to do more than pay a couple of dollars in membership fees.

I propose we install a transparent board that answer questions from their members and open their books so we can all see the decision making process involved in all our decisions. This way every decision can be held to account and no corruption can ruin this club further.

THEY'RE not very convincing! A bit of a shambles really!

Peggy will have every club in the AFL lining up for her services,Collingwood will get out that infamous cheque book you can bet!

We are going through a period when the AFL is feathering other clubs nests and shat in ours.
We trid the best we could with the feeble picks the AFL left us while finishing in the 8 the past three years.
If we actually finished bottom 4 those past few years like a Doggies or Saints or now Essendon,we would be in a much better postion now but it can't happen at the RFC.

We are in a catch 22 made by the AFL.

What if NB commits to this ticket, but the ticket isn't successful, he has thrown away his job at Collingwood with no promise he will get one with us if the current board stays...

It's clear they do not want to pay dimma out. Bring in a ceo of football and said that the game plan had to change and they would support dimma with the right people. All they are saying is, change your game plan or we will. I think it's a good strategy. Try and get him to walk.

Yeah if its just about changing game plan, bringing in Balme, improving recruiting/development it well help but thats not the overall solution.

IMO they need a cultural change to improve their list management strategy.

As Browny said we are going nowhere from too many recycled players ala Spud Frawley history repeat!!

DH is not part of their plan .They said the FD will be reviewed and they have a focus on footy not money and social issues

Biggest coup this group has is Philip Allison. That would send some nervous thoughts through the current board and make them take notice.

Hard to discuss on field matters and even coaching changes whilst the person in charge the CEO of football is not there. Robbo asking Robbo questions.

Better questions would have been around if we are one of the worst for sponsorship dollars, what's steps would rectify this?

If this ticket states they have a commitment from Neil Balme, then most will be for it. Not talking to him before announcing his name would be foolish and damaging.

One mixed message was the lack of sponsorship and fans pulling in the club with their Funds and yet saying the club has been flawless off field!

And whats with the 9-year terms for board members? Chinese communist party springs to mind. What is the justification for that? It's not like we have been a revolving door and need stability.

I'm all for passionate supporters to help out the club, but running a rival ticket that is quite happy with the current board's off field results just defies logic. If you are worried about on-field why not work with the existing board?

It's not 9 years before you face election, it's if you've been on the board for 9 years you can't run again which is good IMO, gets stale

Its ridiculous to mention 35 years since our last flag, and then say that two players from 35 years ago will oversee the football department. They needed to get someone younger (e.g., Campbell, Dan Jackson, etc etc) to oversee the footy department. The fact they they haven't/couldn't isn't a great advertisement for them.
