A few observations:

Doggies fitness staff doing a fantastic job. Just get stronger as the match progresses.

Is it "Mission Accomplished" for the Swans? Both Buddy and Horse were at pains through the week to point out that Swans didn't need to win premierships for Buddy's recruitment to be considered successful. They gave it a good shot, were unlucky with some decisions and ultimately fell short.

A world of pain awaits Swans if Buddy doesn't go the full 9 years, as they must still count his contract in their salary cap, even if they don't have to pay him if he retires early.

Liked a comment in Swans autopsy "Trade Parker, keep Mitchell". Yeah, ok.

You don't think the A.F.L. would change their ruling if he had to go early.

But isn't it more like an ex-girlfriend (or boyfriend) - you loved them dearly when things were good, but the love turns to hate when you find they've walked out with your mate.
Especially when we see them publicly saying how much they love their new amour.

The way we think of our players is a bit like that.

For this one moment in time, I also feel that the crows are within their rights to gloat re: Tippett and now Dangerfield. All week we've heard him go on and on about how much better it is at the cats the implication being that it wasn't as good at the crows. There's another group of supporters that will forever enjoy a premiership drought for both of them

What sort of membership bump should the Dogs get? Will be interesting to see what it jumps up to
If all the band-wagoners chip in, it'll rise 400,000.

If the 'fans but not members' chip in, it should rise as many as 15-20.

Of course, it'll drop by as many as 30 when the free kicks dry up & gws become the AFL's priority...

And people are well within their rights to be reminded that Franklin has done more for this club then any of the people slating him from behind a keyboard.
Two things for mine;

1. If a player chooses to leave Hawthorn and seek riches elsewhere, they are well within their rights, but I wish them no premiership good fortune

2. After the line in the sand game me and my mates thought we'd be shit for years. The following year, MCG versus Brisbane, Buddy broke out. We looked at one another and decided we could build a premiership around him. He is a Hawthorn great pure and simple.

So please people, bag him as a swan, not as a hawk

Well done to the Dogs. Bloody fantastic win.
The dogs have just shown that no team next year will really give a flying f..k about finishing top 4 next season. The bye after the h&a has proven that there is absolutely no advantage to finishing top 4.

They've also proved that if you really want it, you'll win it from anywhere.

The rejects.

You wait til Richmond wins one - that will be insufferable
I can't decide if our species will evolve into a hive mind via embryonic bio-implants embedded in our cortexs by then or we'll become a hybrid race of AI-driven cyborgs. Either way life on Mars will take some getting used to.

What an incredible day.
Almost up there with our four from this century.
The moment of Beverage inviting Bob up to the stage to present him with the coaches medal was something out of the top draw
Congratulations to the Doggies, 100% fully deserved

If people are slating him when he was a Hawk, then sure
As I mentioned, no-one will forget or bag what he did for us supporters as a Hawk
As a Swan, I hope he never ever has success, EVER! (As a footballer)
