I think I'm disappointed because I have no idea of our direction any more and based on delisting the 4 and the snippets from JB, I assumed we would be really on the front foot to get us out of a middle of the road ladder position. We can only do that through draft or trade and I just hope we get some more picks tomorrow.I keep hearing how disappointed people are that "we haven't done more". The only way to make certain that a counterparty will do a deal with you is to ensure it is a great deal for them, i.e. pay overs or accept unders. I can't see this strategy being too popular around these parts.
If you're working on deals but mindful of what you are giving / getting, with the other side doing the same, then the process is harder. Looking for win-wins is where all clubs should be, and that is why we are pointing and laughing at Hawthorn - their "win" is saving salary cap, but at what cost?
I agree trades are tough but to be honest I would have been ok to let go of a couple of others at slight unders to really attack this midfielders draft.
I'm hoping we see a couple of picks tomorrow
