Where are north at?

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

North in delusion mode again.

Brayshaw - 'Brad is too honest, the victim of nasty little man Harvey (in great form)'.

In other words - 'please don't hold up signs on Saturday asking for Brad to resign after his killing of Bambi'.

Scott - 'Lindsay doesn't dive, duck or play for frees. Heck, there's a conspiracy with the umpires going out of their way to ruin his sterling reputation'.

In other words - 'I've seen Thomas cheating for years and have grown so fond of it, I now encourage it from the group'.

It's great when these North caretakers go 180 degrees on issues to cover their incompetence.

There has to be some concern about North's culture going forward.

Let's face it, both Scott and Laidley would've lasted 2 years with the cultures of Melbourne, Essendon or Richmond.
And now apparently they're going for Mayne. Has your team learned nothing!?

Of all the posts or posters you could have a pop at you chose Thats Wright, why on earth did you single him out considering he is highly critical of the culture within the club, and the way North have handled the Boomer sacking.

Strange choice if you ask me

Because we've been having a bit of a convo over the last few pages?

So why is he not getting games/getting named in the best?

You're talking up a 20 year old KPP playing well in the VFL (although not well enough to get in the best/get a game in the seniors).

Basically every other team has 20 year olds doing even more at AFL level than what yours are doing at VFL. See Barrass last night? Seen Lever all year? Seen Weitering?

Jack Darling kicked 53 goals at AFL level when he was 20. Ben McKay has kicked 13 in the VFL. Forgive us if we aren't convinced they are going to hold down spots for North the next couple of years.

Mate,Ben McKay and Harry McKay are the two youngest players in the AFL. They don't turn 19 until Christmas

He's also played a mixture of CHB and CHF.

Sorry if I'm not willing to automatically write off an 18 year old kpp for not debuting in his first year all the while we have Petrie, Waite, Brown, Daw, Hansen, Black and Wood on the list.

I didn't say write him off. But Im not gonna say he is any good based on one best in the VFL for an entire year. And we weren't just talking about McKay were we?

And to be honest, those players keeping him out of the side you've named. Waite has been injured anyway, and at best is an indifferent footballer. Brown is an OK player, but his 40 goals for the year is just plodding along at the minimum required for a forward his age. Wood is also just a half decent player at this stage for his age at AFL level, and the rest are quite frankly bog ordinary to laughable. I'm not sure what point you were trying to make?

What point are you trying to make? If you think Ben Brown is an OK player for his age, and running at bare minimum requirements, you views are pretty clearly bullshit.

It's like me saying you may as well write off Luke Partington, because he can't get a game ahead of the bog average Dom Sheed.

Brown is 23 years old and kicked 41 goals for the year. It's not poor, it's not great. Darling has kicked more and most would agree has had an indifferent year.

Ignoring your comment on Sheed, at least Partington is playing top shelf footy in the WAFL (another 30 posies yesterday). Not getting best once in an entire season in a big ordinary side in the 2s.

No offence, but the WAFL isnt the VFL.

Ben Brown is the least of their concerns.

Ben Brown is the least of their concerns.

Didn't you read Big_Birdy posts?

Brown's no good because Darling kicked 53 goals 4 years ago.

Lets forget the fact he's averging more goals than Darling this year and is 5th in the league for contested marks.

Possibly one of the worst lists in the AFL

Going forward they have Wood Brown and Tarrant.

The rest is just not very good and has proven so this year when called upon failed.

All the north fans laughed at the dogs last year when Higgins played well and we all sat there saying wait til next year ladies. Well how did Higgins go this year? Lol

Dead set peaheart he hasn't changed and never will.

Goldstein looks cooked and who can blame him, he has carried a very average team for two years all alone.

Thomas Swallow Ziebell are just average footy players that go ok when they win but disappear when the lose.

Bottom 4 next year and a long rebuild

Never said he was no good, and when I referred to Darlings 2012 year it had nothing to do with Brown. Now you are just being petulant

In which year do you expect your team to actually win a final?

They will be under Richmond like pressure when they go for the 3rd straight elimination final loss next year, with an aged defence and no forward line.

Interesting times.

Yes I know this is about North, but all teams other than GWS have holes. We are no different.

If we have an equally poor run with injuries in 2017 we could easily finish last.

Which is important as we have 3 father sons and Tarryn Thomas (academy) coming in to start the rise back up, this time ideally with some talent.

I think you mean 4th

Lol ninthmond fan

You will finish below us yet again next year

Can't see that happening. You've lost your three best outside mids and best key forward. Goldstein looked absolutely cooked by the end of the year also and wouldn't surprise if you have run him into the ground ala us with Maric

And no need for the ninthmond...you and your brethren would be mashing the report button like crazy if I referred to you as norf

Very uninspiring list building period if you ask me. I can't see them finishing ahead of anyone other than maybe Brisbane next year
Probably abit extreme... I think it would seem nearly certain they will drop a few places, I have them in the 10th-14th bracket.
