I've had that a bit lately. People asking for the simplest things. It's basically primary school level.

I went out for dinner at Fed Square on Monday night and while I was waiting for my friend to arrive I read this post. There was a man lying face down on Fed Square by himself and I thought "oh **** what if he's dead and no one helps him?!" So I approached him and said, "excuse me sir, are you okay? Would you like some water?" and he told me to **** OFF AND MIND MY OWN BUSINESS lol thanks a lot Doss

A woman tripped over about five metres ahead of me just before, on the walk from work to the train station. It was nothing too serious, she grazed her knee lightly but that's it, but what shat me is that everyone else between me and her (probably ten people at least; it's peak hour afterall) didn't even bother to stop and check if she was okay, and in fact some performed some pretty cute footwork to avoid her much how you might with an inanimate object blocking the footpath.

Is it really that hard to stop and ask someone if they're okay?

THese days you can never be too sure. You check on someone, they maybe doing the drugs or carrying a knife. Also people are very entrenched in own worlds in the iphone or samsung.

with your event, maybe because she fell over, if you stop and bend over to see if shes ok you maybe nudged from behind and then fall on top of her. Then it becomes like this

Catching a train to the city from Geelong. Find a park really easily and get to the station 9 minutes before the train is due to leave. 3 minutes after the train is due to leave there is an announcement that due to level crossing removals in Warrnambool, all trains until January will have a 15-16 minute delay.

If ALL trains are delayed all month, why the **** don't they just adjust all the scheduled times to factor this in? ARGH.

About 4 years ago, I put my hazard lights on one day and double parked my van cause a guy had come a croppa on the footpath. He'd smashed his head on the cement and opened up a nasty cut above his eyebrow, and I'm no good at stuff like that! Fortunately, he'd fallen in front of the Marine Police Building and they came to the rescue!

Poor bugger was a bit disabled, had no use of his left arm at all, and kept saying every time he tries to be independent this stuff happens. All I could say was everyone falls down sometimes, but just keep bouncing back

The only reason I remembered this incident is I saw him wandering around the city yesterday. Warmed my heart!

One of my best mates is like that. I don't think he's been on time once in his life. I've lost my shit at him a few times when he's been late and he just stares at me blankly like he has no idea why I would be upset. Top bloke who would do anything for you but he just doesn't seem to understand how being late inconveniences other people.

He did it tonight. He called me at 6:30 and said he was going to Bunnings soon. I told him that I wouldn't mind going to Bunnings. We arranged to meet at 7:30. I got there on time and went to the McDonalds next door for a coffee. I wait til 8:30 then give him a call. He said he was just leaving home. He lives 15 minute drive from Bunnings and it closes at 9 so I told him not to worry about it. I was pissed off so after I told him not to worry about it just hung up. He rang me back saying that we must have got cut off somehow. When I told him that I had hung up he was, "Why mate?". No freaking idea at all.

All you people having problems with getting parcels delivered, I never seem to have any trouble Ordered something on Friday and they said to expect it in 3-5 business days - it arrived this morning Ordered something else yesterday which is meant to arrive on Wednesday, so will see if that arrives on time.

Think I went the early crow on this one Parcel that was meant to arrive today has not turned up

I know some people who are so given to lateness that I've resorted to telling them to be somewhere half an hour before I actually want them to be so, because that means they will then show up more or less on time.

This behavior is all too common up here in Darwin.

Organise to go out with friends to a pub on Saturday night at 7.30pm and main organiser does not rock up til 9.30pm. And don't get me started on a music festival where I waited two hours from the agreed meeting time for mates to rock up.

It was three years ago. We were flying down to Melbourne on a Saturday for a night game. He has his own auto spare parts business and closes at 11.30 on Saturdays. The plane was due to leave at 1.00. Knowing that he often stays open longer than 11.30 I went around to his business at 11.15 to make sure he finished up then and there. I was going to follow him around to his house, leave his car at his house and drive my car to the airport. I had his bag in my car so all he had to do was drop his car off, hop in my car and straight to the airport.

When I got to his business at 11.15 he showed no signs of beginning to close up. I had to really push him to close up. I managed to get him out the door and into his car at 11.35. As I was driving off to his house I look in my rear vision mirror and he is hopping out of his car and going back into his shop. I wound down the window and yelled out, "What the **** are you doing?" He replies that he forgot to do something and goes back inside. I am sitting in the car starting to feel a bit frantic. About ten minutes later he comes back out and hops in his car. We drive to his place. I get out of my car and tell him to just hop in my car and let's go. He tells me that he needs to do something at home. So I tell him that he has five minutes. I sit in the car going out of my mind. Well, he takes about fifteen minutes. I have no idea what he was doing. When I asked him on the way to the airport he just said that he needed to check on some stuff. So we leave his house about 12.15.

It takes about fifteen minutes to drive to the airport and the plane is leaving at 1. I am one of those people who like to be early to everywhere. I am usually at the airport one or two hours before departure. So I am almost having a nervous breakdown. . He grew up in this town and likes to think that he knows everybody. He is saying, "Don't worry. The people at the airport know me." I tell him that I don't give a **** who he knows because the airlines have a 30 minute prior check in policy. We arrive at the airport. I madly park my car, jump out, toss him the keys and tell him to bring the bags. Lucky we only had carry on bags. I run into the airport and up to the counter. The woman tells me that I only just made it. It turns out that she actually does know my mate and laughs as she sees him walking up behind me.
