Trump and his supporters from the Neo-Nazi Alt Right prior to and during the election made statements that the election was rigged and demanded investigations. Since the election result, they (Trump and the Neo-Nazi's) have dropped these claims of election rigging and attacked anyone or any evidence of election rigging or tampering.

Just so we're clear on this, if it was the other way around and Trump was claiming this, I'd still demand definite and conclusive proof. Those who have been involved in cyber security etc know for a fact that it is difficult to obtain conclusive of cyber attackers identities. Hence why experienced hackers are called "ghosts" for a reason. Top intelligence agencies are in the stone age when it comes to tracking experienced hackers.

Mate, check the article you linked, read the first sentence. You will find the link to this so called report providing "evidence" to support their claim that the "Russians did it". It's nothing more than an informational report of no more than 3 pages "showing how the hacking was done", followed by how to identify, mitigate and report it.

There is no conclusive proof of the "Russian link" other than subjective comments within the report and a list of supposedly the aliases that did the hacking. A 1000 word report from my part is over kill because there is no "evidence" to critic.

Are you speaking of yourself? Have you even read the report? Would you consider the word "likely" as conclusive in an evidential report? Keep in mind that we are talking about actions that could lead to something more than just sanctions. The Report claims "The US government confirms...", yet there is no concrete evidence detailed in the report for this claim.

Instead of assuming this is my opinion why don't you go and read the report yourself. I'm not going to waste my time critiquing subjective claims.

But that's exactly what I am saying - what are the lessons? Senior Republicans came out in droves to say they wouldn't vote Trump, but Republican voters still voted for him. The idea that left-wing policies would've won it for the Democrats is flawed in the face of that. You may have gotten more of the Obama vote sticking with Democrats, but how many more traditional American political voters (i.e. more about 'freedom') would've voted for the Republicans? It's impossible to know, but recent political history has been very 'freedom' focussed, even if it came with several shovels off 'Patriot Act'. I would love to believe that Americans want to be more like Europe/Canada/Australia in terms of a social safety net. I just don't know if it's true. e.g. Saying that the people voting against Obamacare wanted 'something better' and that may have been more like universal healthcare... ?? That goes against everything that was said about Obamacare. The criticisms was it was socialist, putting government into your healthcare, etc.

Clinton is more Hawkish than she was when being unsure about the best way to take on Saddam. She wasn't talking about Universal Healthcare. Obama was a step to the left, but he (like Bernie) was all about telling the people that they had to fight for left-wing policies because he couldn't get them through without political pressure. Therefore he remained fairly centre-right. Gay Marriage would probably be the only variation on that?

I'm just not sure that means that the population as a whole have.

I certainly think the turnout, or lack thereof in the face of a Clinton vs Trump battle certainly gives rise to that. Remember, HRC did win the popular vote, it was the crumbling of the blue wall that got her. Would having had Sanders or preferably someone younger but signed off by Sanders on the ticket have changed that? Only a fraction of an increase in turnout in those states & Hillary shatters the glass ceiling.

When I say learn their lessons, I'm not necessarily saying move left, what I'm suggesting is Brexit, the Donald, to a lesser extent Hanson out here. The general message seems to be "You aren't listening to us". This is what I want to see change.

My read on Obama's latest moves in the U.N are this.

1. Attempt to align the Trump admin as Communist co-conspirators, sympathizers & therefore an enemy of the U.S.

2. By splitting off with Israel, they are forcing Trumps hand to re-establish it, thereby splitting the anti-Zionist feeling in the Republican popular movement.

The reason I'm asking this is that the past year, by planned propaganda or some hidden agenda, the west in particular Obama and the US have been poking the bear. We have never been so close to WW3 before and these new sanctions are just tightening an already tightened vice on Russia.

Two Russian diplomats killed, 1 airliner downed, sanctions. Obama is really trying his best to screw this world in less than 3 months. I'm just waiting for a nuke to land in the US with Russia's first strike policy.
