South African rugby great Joost van der Westhuizen dies from motor neurone disease

"One of South Africa's greatest rugby union players, former scrum-half Joost van der Westhuizen has died from the debilitating motor neurone disease. ...

... He retired in 2003, and was diagnosed with a form of motor neurone disease known as amytrophic lateral sclerosis in early 2011 and given a 20 per cent chance of living up to two years. ...."

Sad news. That name is forever etched in my brain in Gordon Bray's voice.

I'm just surprised I typed that out in one go without being auto corrected.

Autocorrect seems to completely throw in the towel after 6 consecutive vowels.

I was burning some CD's (I know living in the past) last night for a mate on the laptop & anything under 50 minutes was burning and completing fine but anything over was failing & the drive was making a rattling grinding sound at that point.. any ideas or is it cactus?

Sounds rooted.

eBay sellers gripe #2.

You receive a low ball "Best Offer" offer on an item and respond with a compromise counter offer the potential buyer has 48 hours to either accept or reject.
But instead of accepting or rejecting they simply look at it and dismiss it, leaving it hanging, rather than clicking on the 'accept' or 'dismiss' button, meaning the item is invisible to other potential buyers for the next 48 hours.

eBAY Buyers Gripe:
I've told you how much I want to pay, stop frigging negotiating.

And some people let these eBay plebs collect from their homes.. yea nah

48 hours is way too long and seems like a relic from the days when most people could only go online using their PC. But almost everyone has the internet in their pocket these days FFS.

One hour max.

eBay sellers gripe.

If you don't like what I'm asking, go away. You're the one trying to negotiate on price, not me.

Ok. Was just an impulse buy anyway, no one actually NEEDS anything from ebay, it;s just something to do at work.
I'll buy some nice whiskey instead. :)

It's eBay though, where everything is geared towards the buyer. They can muse over offers for practically as long as they want, they can leave a seller negative feedback but the seller is unable to leave negative feedback for them, etc.

That's every shop though.

They need to hire this guy as a consultant. He even agrees with my 1 hour rule. :p
