Dustin says hi.And yet they have been signing.
The ones who were out of contract last year.
You would surely think at this stage with the new agreement so close that those who are signing would have something written in the contract to incorporate any increase once the AFL gets its ass into gear.At other clubs.
But are they islanders? There are grade 11&12 students in the volleyball squad at my school that are physically more imposing than Josh Watts was after two AFL pre-seasons.

Further your bent original guitarist is found suspiciously dead in a swimming pool and you still roll Mick Taylor out the next day. Then sack him because he isn't bent enough.I thought the Mick Taylor method was when you bring him in because your guitarist is too bent then replace him with Ronnie Wood a few years later.

This isn't aimed specifically at you Sizie, but I can understand a lot of worry and angst about Schache in the face of everything that we've seen in the last 5 or so years.
In the interests of introducing a bit of perspective as a circuit breaker, I would make the argument that it is very likely that we won't see any movement on contract figures and signing until after the TPP gets sorted out, right? At least it is my understanding that negotiations are still ongoing.
Regardless of any intention to both stay or go, I can't see any deals being done before that, right?
Players are demanding the salary cap be based on a set percentage of AFL and club revenue, while the League has been reluctant to agree to such a model.
Marsh remained hopeful an agreement could be reached before the home and away season kicked off, with clubs currently working on an interim basis that the TPP will lift by 10 per cent in 2017.

That was nearly 2 months ago...this will get dragged out until at least the bye; as will the Schache contract despite the very best efforts of our new team![]()

We lost COLA over a decade ago. Had nothing to do with Sydney.Speaking of NSW you have Sydney to thank for the loss of COLA and its a shame because Schache is one of those rare cases where a struggling club almost does deserve some kind of leg up to keep him.
As an aside, the AFL would be mad to agree to a fixed-percentage style deal.
Just letting you know all the BigFooty "experts, I know a guy who said this, I know people within the club" have started a post with schace already excepting a deal from Carlton 700k 5 year deal.
Just let you know haha
We have 2 firsts this year. Dont be surprised to see us offer both 1sts for schache or a 1st and a player. Richmond are fair to deal with and will pay market value.Better result than Richmond draft pick wise.

Under no circumstances would it be fair if Schache leaves. We have 2 firsts this year. Dont be surprised to see us offer both 1sts for schache or a 1st and a player. Richmond are fair to deal with and will pay market value.

I guess that should make Schache leaving ok thenTo be honest Hipwood is the bloke I would love. You guys have some solid bookends coming up. Andrews too looks like a gun in the making.

Its tough but Northern clubs also get the benefit of selecting from academies which we dont. It all evens out in the end.Under no circumstances would it be fair if Schache leaves.
As a club, we may as well give up if our first rounders continuously leave after doing their minimum term.
